Idea: Voting Incentives

There just isnt enough incentive to vote

a lotta ppl sittin on credits from way back and dont need 2 vote

my chats get flooded with links to drop votes and i dont feel like votin cuz i have mad credits. not even on some asshole shit, im just keepin it 100

so i was thinkin there should be an incentive system in place for votes

X votes in a week gets you __
X votes in a month gets you __

emcee items, custom usertitles, colored usernames, etc etc

and upping the battle requirement from 3 credits to 5 would increase voting activity

what ya'll think?

Well that goes back to the credit discussion and how we can find more ways to utilise them doesn't it?

Like if Credits can be used for:

• Battling
• Getting Emcee Items
• Start A Crew & Recruiting
• Posting Tracks
• Custom User Titles
• Or even purchasing LB Tshirts etc. from the Store

We should change the name to LB Currency. Credits need to be utilised in more areas of the site than just battling. Credits can be obtained ONLY through voting or buying them

But I know that’s hard to code

I agree with a name change on credits...how bout some corny shit like "Battle Bucks" ...shits got a ring to it b

but yeah that incentive based system is the same as buying emcee items, it's just disguised in a way that encourages voting by setting goals.

Think of it like this:

Buying an emcee item with 50 credits is the same as earning one after dropping 50 votes.

The difference is, i'm pushing the incentive system because it'll push people to vote a certain amount of times in a week or a month

So imagine its 50 votes in a month for an emcee item

That'd be much better for the site than someone that earned 50 credits in the span of 6 months, cuz thats like dropping 8 votes a month to buy that emcee item

Forcing them to vote 50 times in a month or they'll miss their chance to get the item guarantees they'll vote 50 times in that month if they want the item

Battle Bucks is a better name tbh...

Ye we are saying the same thing. Having more ways to utilise credits will create an incentive to vote no doubt...unless some people would rather buy credits than vote which is still beneficial

Here's the incentive, when you drop a Battle you want votes right? So you vote on other people's battles...I do hella voting and my battles usually get a lot of votes and i don't ask anybody for votes in IM or PM (Asked Rant to return a FV as posted in his thread, and Babylon to drop one on a battle that was like 12 hours past original closing time...which he never did anyways) I have made a thread and have posted link in chatbox, but i try not to because i see people just force feeding links asking for votes and some aren't even out voting and that's selfish (although i flooded my track on IM yesterday lol, btw Godbody go listen and rate bastid!!) But yes i love the ideas you guys have suggested about turning credits into some type of currency (esp since i have 945 credits and still voting like a champ haha)

Godbody- Although it looks good on paper an award or title for 'most votes' or so many votes might just get some people to randomly vote without even caring about it being FV or not because they are more worried about their pretty little title or award lol (sad, but true)

Oskar- The store and other options are great on paper, but almost a similar situation could occur (maybe make it where votes are more closely monitored and those who only took it seriously would be eligible to redeem them or something? i dunno)

Or how about an expiry date on credits or battle bucks of on currency this will also boost voting ...

Like the ideas of buying shit with it like emcee items etc ....

My suggestion ....

You could have like say 100 credits is 1 month exclusive member ship 50 credits = emcee items but time frame is all in a Calendar month ...

But here's the twist if ya don't utilise those credits in that calendar month eryone goes back to 0 on the 1st !!!
