Seems like a great idea economically, with the explosion of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies alike such as Litecoin/Dogecoin I'm sure all of his fans will hype this currency up to the point it's actually worth something.
I'll invest in a few of these in case that happens because everyone said bitcoin was going no where when they were worth $10 each a month ago they were worth 1k each.
So yeah, he's pretty egotistical and seems like that dude you'd only hang around because it's Kanye West but I personally believe this was a semi-smart move. At least he's using his money to get more instead of just letting it waste away until he becomes irrelevant.
