Team Affiliation Thread
It's that time of year, and shit talking is going to fly. I just need a reference thread to remind me, which of your teams to belittle on any given week, if/when my Eagles play you.
(NOTE: I will also praise your team if they do well other weeks, as long as you are not a Skins or Dallas fan, Giants fans may get as high as 'meh, good game')
Teek - Philadelphia Eagles
Costello - Baltimore Ravens (this year)
ADONiS - Atlanta Falcons
Ill Phenom - Atlanta Falcons

I support all teams (as I don't have a favorite team). However, I do pick a team and stick with them through the whole season (especially for something like this). This year, I'll tough it out and run with the Baltimore Ravens.

My sister is a Ravens fan. I actually respect them as an organization. If I hadn't chosen the Eagles as a kid, I could see me following the Ravens now. They are my favorite AFC team.
Week 2 should bring some nice discussions.

Definitely will bring discussion. I'm already trying to map out a solution out here. If I do feel this team is impressive, I might just become a fan of this organization. Reed to pick off Vick 2X's in that game!

Well, Ngata is out for the season with a torn mcl(acl?), but so is our LT.
I think we'll match line against line, but still see Vick getting sacked 3-4x. They'll stick someone in Joker and blitz and Ray Lewis will get his shots in. If we still had Owen Schmitt, I think him and Celek could handle it, but our new guy isn't much of a blocker.
I will give you the two picks from Reed, I think we get 3 (DRC, Nnamdi and a LB from a bad check down).
Pressure from DLine is going to have Flacco running for his life and fluster him into some mistakes.
I see the same thing happening to Vick, but Vick can't get the ball out fast enough for quick screens to be effective and our Running game will struggle, even though McCoy is a BEAST.
I think it'll be a low scoring game, Flacco will be more consistent than Vick in crunch time and squeeze out a win w short ball and their running game.
(sorry for the word spillage, it will/should be a good game, this is a short rundown)

Nnamdi, highest possibility and I'll probably say 2. Reason being, Flacco normally recovers from one mistake 2 drives from the original bad one. Normally that second drive would be a couple of sacks, bad passes or INTs. Line for Line, I'd agree .. (still a bit questioned on how Mathis would've looked as a Raven) ..
Defense, still looking sharp as usual .. (nothing special just yet, we'll leave that for W2)
Overall: (very short breakdown) It will actually be a close game. I'd say the win can go either way honestly (of course, I'm leaning towards Ravens) but the win would possibly be by 3-7 points.
P.S. I think I smell a safety somewhere along this game.

Evan Mathis is a damn better guard than I thought he'd be coming in, which a LOT of that was Oline coach Howard Mudd (ex Oline coach for the Colts responsible for blocking Manning). If Mathis went to the Ravens, he might not have been as efficient.
I could see a safety, unfortunately against us, and probably the winning score because Vick still runs around way too much.
3-7 is about where I put things. I'm fine with drawn out defense football. Too many people gotta have the highlight reel passes and 40 pts a game. They don't get Defense is important and high scores are a bad thing.

If 3-7 is what your predicting the score to be, I'd say your honestly wrong. I actually have a little more faith on both ends of the offense to surpass that low of a score. Yes, DEFENSE is definitely where the game is at. A great-defense can maintain the point factor however, with both sides having explosive top-tier personnel, I'd go out to say more along the lines of 21-17.

No, I meant that'd be the point difference, but I think 21-17 is a little high. 14-17'ish is more likely.
