WELCOME TO THE Sign-Ups FOR The Text Voter's VP Amnesty Tournament (V.A.T.)

In order to encourage better voting on the site, educate the public on voting through feedback and assessment, and to give those who may have had their vp lowered for bad voting in the past a second chance, the staff of LetsBeef.com are holding our first Voter's VP Amnesty Tournament (V.A.T.). In this tournament, your voting will be subject to public opinion and it's quality will be graded by your peers.
Pretty much, rather than the normal type of battle where people battle each other, two people will be given the same link to an actual current battle to vote on, and they will then be rated on how well they voted. If they are deemed the better voter, then they move on to the next round.
It's not only about whether you vote for the person with more skill, but how you rate each combatant and how well you expo your vote that will be taken into account.
The ratings will come from a pre-selected panel of judges: 3 (text) mods.
The judges themselves will have to explain their ratings in the threads that will be created for each round. There will also be a public poll attached to each thread where people can vote on who dropped a better vote, however, the judges' decisions will supercede the poll results.
Please note that you MAY get your voting power raised through participating in this tourney, particularly if you win your rounds. So, I strongly urge anyone who suspects their vp might have been lowered to apply. Application does not guarantee automatic entrance...it will all be subject to staff's discretion. People can also apply for a position on the panel of judges calling all FVC (or former FVC) members and anyone with a history of sensible voting. Once again, staff will decide who ends up on the panel. I will also be letting people apply to have their current battles be one of the battles used in this tourney. That way, you're guaranteed to have at least 2 conscious votes on your battle and the judges may also vote as well. (You won't be able to add your battle to the list if you're participating in the tourney or are a judge).

HowToApply:
If you are applying to be either a voter participant or a non-mod judge, submit your application as follows: State which position you are applying for (voter participant or judge), then drop 1 link to a battle you've voted on recently (optional). If you are approved, your name will be added to the lists below.

I'll have sign-ups open for about 3 days, and will have Round 1 Brackets up in about 5 days. If you're still interested, just post 5 links to TEXT battles you've voted on prior to Apr 27th.
