The way I look at it is like a grading curve. I don't think anyone on this site is truly an 8 tbh. But when judging their verse compared to the average of what we normally run into on LB, then 5 or 6 is about average and then it goes up from there.

Dont be so quick to judge character bro, I didnt say anything negative about the feedback.. to be honest it was probably one of the best & most detailed vote breakdowns ive seen on this site, but i dont think the expo and the scores reflect each other at all. I vote regularly and ive seen how people generally score versus... a 4's a horrible rating & i dont think either drops in that battle were horrible at all..

Voted and expo'd.
Astro's expo and rate was pretty on point. I scored it a 5-5.
The majority of people are guilty of gassing others when it comes to rates (myself included on many occasions) which probably makes Astros rates appear to be over harsh but he's on the money here.
Anyways both stay grinding! MAKE us give you 8's, 9's and 10's in the future.

People dropping 8's & 9's on these battles are one of the reasons people hate vote when somebody decides to be honest. I dropped a 4-4 rating on this battle but FVC members and staff members dropping 8's and 9's which is highly surprising. Neither verse was even close to a 6, never mind 8-9. Last time i dropped a vote, It was the same. People gassing other members up instead of been honest. Whats up with that?.
Check the battle & tell me my comment isn't accurate.

I get the same thing. Rate realistically like we're suppose to, and they hate vote back lol.

This is the problem!. You both disagree with my vote & rating because your taking notes of other battles and the rating that is been dropped by other members. Creating a "average vote base". I vote on verses, simple. I've no reason to sugar coat my vote. If somebody gives a horrible verse a 7 or 8, Im not going to jump on the band wagon & drop the same rate. Thats not keeping it '100. There seems to be alot of followers & not enough people willing to keep the honesty alive.
I could have dropped 8-8 on that battle, but what exactly would both of you have gained from that? nothing. That's why i take time to explain my vote & yes, my votes are very detailed because I feel that everybody has room for improvement (including myself). You can look at a 4 and say that's not justified, but remember a 5 is good according to the LB rating system.
People are free to block me from voting on there battles but imma always tell them whats good, and whats not. All about elevating.

I'm not judging you fam...and I don't disagree or have any problems with you rating anyone a 4 if that's how you see it. I rate with a grading curve, cause if not, I'd be giving most people on here a 2 or a 3. I don't think their verses were the shit, but I didn't think it was horrible either. Me giving them an 8 is meaning I see them as slightly above the average of what I've been seeing lately, and with a grading curve. Its not about being on no bandwagon either. I think everyone should vote however they see it as long as its fair, whether they chose to use their own bell curve or be totally blunt. Respect.

I have no problem with anybody on this site, so your good. Im confused as to why you have this 'grading curve'. If you feel a verse deserves a 2 or 3, why not give them that rating and explain why?.
"Me giving them an 8 is meaning I see them as slightly above the average of what I've been seeing lately"
Again, your judging there verse based on other verses you've read today, yesterday, whenever. It puzzles me to be honest. & 8 is not slightly above average, 8 in my opinion is pretty tight.
Hypothetically; Your dropping tracks on the regular, wanting to make a name for yourself. (Your tracks are garbage). First person drops a comment telling you your shit was raw/dope/sick. everybody follows suit. This continues to happen with all your tracks. You then feel the need to bring a demo or mixtape to a music mogul. How will you feel when he tells you out-straight that your garbage?.
You get the picture im painting. Kick that voting curve & drop honesty. Your not helping anybody by lying to them.

The reason why I personally used a bell curve is because on this site, we're competing against each other. We're not competing against the larger Rap world. To me, an emcee like Nas or Rakim would be a 10, and ain't no one on this site, from what I've seen, comes close to that. But I may drop a 10 on a UA or DaddiO battle because, in their field of competition, which is LB, they are among the best. So, if I was comparing what I've seen on here versus the artists that I actually listen to and bump, to me, that wouldn't be fair if I was rating based on that while those artists aren't competing here.
So, yes, you're right. I'm judging them based on what I've encountered on LB, and I feel like I should.
I agree with you that when someone is constantly rated in this way, it may give them an inflated ego, but not necessarily. I think it would depend on the person how they take it. I've been rated 8, 9, and 10 before, and I never took that to mean I must be on the level of a Rakim or Nas now. I took it as either that person rating me based on their own bell curve or telling me that I have the POTENTIAL to be an 8 or a 9.
Being blunt can help people sometimes (but not always) but so can seeing people from the viewpoint of their potential. Sometimes you gain a title or rating, and then you feel like you need to live up to it.

Why are you talking about Nas, Rakim, UA and Daddio?, the battle is between Savage and Dru, therefore you rate Savage and Dru. You can't compare whatever verse you read to "legends" on the site. You are a member of staff, you are supposed to be setting an example to all members by voting on each verse with realistic breakdowns and rating each verse accordingly. Quit it with that fucking bell curve shit too. Also been blunt will help everybody ALL the time. Nobody likes been taking for a fool or sugar coating anything, be straight with people so they know where there going wrong and how they can improve. I'm not bashing you for voting the way you did, I see it from almost every member on the site.
However, for a member of staff i would question your voting power due to your mentality. No offence.

How would you feel about joining the FVC astro? Check out my thread in the text lounge regarding the overhaul of the FVC voting systems I'm about to implement and get at me.
