No. It's because people know it's a waste of their sincerity, time and energy. Don't insult people by classing them taking the hint as nothing other than enabling. The latter is just a (slight) consequence of the former.
Thats why you look like a complete and utter troll/wind up artist when you "kick up a fuss" .. At least to me.
I don't know how you can keep banging that drum and NOT be just trolling for a rise because it's pretty fucking obvious all the screaming, ranting and raving has never and will never make a blind bit of difference.
You got be a complete and utter wind up merchant, or extremely naive and slow on the uptake.
Which 1 is it?
Did you not know until this very moment I'm telling you that you're wasting you're breath?
Or you bandwagoning the issue to bait for lols and trolls?

I don't want to be negative because I promised Pugz I wouldn't give him abuse as long as he did what what he said he would, and so far he has, so I won't diss him at all in this. I'll just say my personal thoughts on it.
Firstly, people are falling out of this. Back when I started there were loads of sites with loads of people. Now, essentially there is Letsbeef, Netcees and Body Bags Ent that actually have a sustainable about of traffic.
But that aside, LB could have evolved and grown along with the industry. As Student said, the first thing you have to do is blame @X about Fly Hip Hop. This was essentially "LB V4". It was a new site with a professionally made skin, with brand new features all pertaining to rap battling and the rap culture in general. I don't even know why he didn't go for it in the end, but why weren't those features added to LB? Instead he applied them to Rocbattle.
Actually, all in all it's down to X. X once hit me up after I said he didnt care about LB. He said this was his first site and that I was wrong. Within one year he wanted to close it down and Pugz said he'd take over. X obviously is busy in real life. Rocbattle was this big thing. Grammy award winning producer linking up with X. X was a hustler back then. Lil Flip being involved and everything. X was making moves. But look now. He sold Rocbattle and Beatdisk is absolutely nothing. He's just not into it and took too long to pass LB over.
Pugz didn't have the experience with the site to initially make moves, so we were stagnant for a long time. What was bad is that Pugz thought he could survive with the tournaments he was running. This didnt work because the users of the site had pretty much done EVERYTHING. We've all ran our own tournaments. We've done it all. So Pugz couldn't really just keep the site going with that because it'd already been done.
Two more big downsides were MFD and ClassicK. MFD's 2009 domination meant that there were NO crews being made by vets, and crews are a big incentive on the site for activity. The site was left without any of that rivalry for a long ass time. ClassicK had most of the active guys and every one of them were the friendly uninteresting kind of people, so the forums turned into a clusterfuck of guys being best buds and guys like me were turned away from actually coming onto them cause my interest in the forums were the heated rivalries from the 2008 days.
What Pugz needs to do to keep LB on top is treat it like a business. The event was a good start and is something which needs to be capitalized on. Think back to the X days at the start. He made connections with big name people, and I think Pugz once told me that X was a normal dude mainly posting on web design and javascript websites. He made all these connections from nowhere. Pugz done it with the live event, but it has to be branched out. Try and turn LB into some form of hip hop and rap battling social hub. Work on advertising with other events and stuff. Probably a forums revamp would be needed too.

A good start would be to get the crew battles working. I know they've been tested since pugz set up L.O.D Vs L.B G.
But they still have the old audio players which don't work anymore. It's like they gave up on it because they have no way to implement the current players into that arena.
If those were fixed I think myself and Eth....
(I know we're currently HoF mods but to put it bluntly I honestly couldn't give a flying fuck about wasting my time putting some old head who 9 times out of 10 doesn't even fuck with the site like that any more on a pedestal to be worshipped. In fact the HoF should be put on the back burner completely until more pressing matters are dealt with to move the site forward instead of looking backwards)
Could really kick crew rivalries back into gear.
Implement some form of awards/badges to go besides crew names for main 1 of tournaments.
And an accolades section on a crew and member pages listing both (the above) main annual crew wins as well as monthly/Bi Monthly crew wins. Shit you could even have these wins as part of a league where at the end of the year the crew with the most points wins.
You could even (maybe, It might not work well in practice) award every new member who acknowledges their welcome thread with a crew of their own.
You should have a system in place that not only tags them to it. Put a pop up with a link to said welcome thread encouraging to claim their free crew by posting inside it so you're not handing out crews to any tom dick harry or bot.
This would obviously be subject to some form of IP/cookie check.
Thats just a few and There's a ton of things you could do.

This. Nobody who could do anything about the shit gave a fuck about this place until it was too late. And then the people who were here and gave a fuck the whole time get demoted for "inactivity" and because they "gave up." so they can try and fix the mess that others were telling them was going on the whole time. Too little too late imo.
