The fact that the word "degrees" describes all "degrees" is quite obvious LMAOOO and is precisely the reason why connecting it to "PhD's"using only the word "and" is redundant, since you've already described all degrees. Why would you have to mention PhD's "for the sake of not listing the lesser degrees" when you've already essentially listed ALL of them in one word? If wanted to add PhD's to emphasize the fact that by "degrees" you meant "even the higher degrees" I guess I would understand that, but the problem here again rests on only one or two words. To do this you need to say something like, "degrees including PhD's" or if you had the opposite intention, to emphasize that the lower degrees are included, you could say, "PhD's as well as other degrees"
I'm sure that none of this makes sense to you, but to anyone who learned how to properly read and write as a child it makes perfect sense. I'm sorry to say that these concepts are often impossible to fully learn after adolescence, so depending on your age, you may be fucked.
