In case you missed it, here are a few of the highlights from the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards, which aired last night, as well as a list of the winners.
Hightlights:
- The show was hosted by Uncle Snoop, notably wearing a T-shirt paying homage to the Notorious B.I.G
- Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean tied for the most awards, each winning three. Kendrick won the awards for Best Hip Hop Video, Lyricist of the Year and Impact Track. Big Sean won the awards for Best Collabo, Best Club Banger and the People’s Champ award.
- Scarface was presented with the “I Am Hip Hop” award by Ludacris. As we reported in an earlier story, he was arrested shortly after leaving stage.
- Puff Daddy and the Bad Boy crew premiered two new songs at the show, featuring Lil Kim, King Los and Styles P. There was also an ode to Biggie.
- Travi$ Scott, T.I.P and Young Dro also put up a performance.
