As you undoubtedly must have noticed, we've added a new forum tabs module above the navigation bar in the forums. This new module organizes and fetches the last 5 updated threads from various forums. It is put in place to not only make it easier to browse the forums via the latest threads, but to also aid us in highlighting future sections of the site through the tabs. A brief explanation of the tabs:
*
[LB News and Promotions] - pulls the last 5 updated threads from any of the forums under the LetsBeef.com Happenings category including (LetsBeef.com Site News and Updates, LetsBeef.com Promotions, LetsBeef.com Contest Sign Ups, and LetsBeef.com Tournaments, etc.)
*
[General Talk] - pulls the last 5 updated threads from General Talk and the Music Lounge
*
[Battle Discussion] - pulls the last 5 updated threads from any of the forums under the Battle Discussion category including (Cash Battles, Crew Battles, Graphics, Audio Lounge, Live Battles , Text Lounge , Topical Lounge, and Video Battles)
*
[Chatroom] - Clicking this tab takes you to a page within Letsbeef with our tinychat room embedded.
*
[Radio] - Clicking this tab opens the LB radio widget which starts to play automatically.
*
[Tutorials] - This tab will lead to the new Tutorial pages we will be building up. It's temporarily showing some old tutorials but new interactive tutorials will be added in the coming months as part of our plan to help make the site more welcoming and user-friendly to new users.
*
[FVC] - This tab takes you to the FVC forums.
The
[LB News and Promotions] serves as the default tab which is chosen when no other tabs are chosen. The tab module is set up to remember the last tab you clicked during your login session, so as you navigate to different pages, it will show the last tab you have selected until you choose a different tab. This way, if you have the LB Radio selected during one of the days of live broadcast, the radio will continue playing while you go to different pages in the forums.
Shout out to @
Mindless who's idea it was to implement something like this!
