So, if reality is what we make it, how is the laptop not the color this man thinks it is because he himself makes it that way? Whether it be by thinking it, or etc.

Again, over thinking it.

Reality would only change as we'd say that color is now a different one. We should change the number 3 symbol to ^ if we wanted. Reality is just whats real, we can change things about it, material things, but reality is just reality.

If everyone is inherently wrong, how can the whole itself not be wrong? Something about "Two wrongs don't make a right." Furthermore, who are we as a whole to say whether something is, or is not something else? And back to belief, if reality is based on your personal belief system, which was my understanding of that. How is it not real to him, despite the whole's view, that it is actually a green apple tree? Again, who are we, as a whole to say whether he is, or is not wrong himself? How are we, in any way important enough to come to that decision?



If I think, therefore I am, then if the people in this test think that this is unreal? Think that the test doesn't exist? How can that test then prove anything if their reality is faulted in such a way? This was a simple one, I liked this explanation. I am a big fan of empirical proof. I also liked your ideas on experience, and their application in understanding that around us. So, I'll leave these few questions for now, and may post more concerning your original post as they come to me.

Actually, there are some extreme subjectivists that would state our world is nothing but abstract ideas, metaphysical reality doesn't exist.

First off, everyone has at least some form of metaphysical truth. some more than others.

And I just hope you know, this is a logical fallacy. The fallacy of composition. A characteristic of a part does not guarantee an equivalent characteristic in the whole.

And "it's real to him", yes, it is real to him. but it's not true.

It's stipulated definition. We, as a society have decided waht is or is not "green" or "red" if we put this man in front of a spectrometer reading, he would, in fact realize he is erroneous in labeling this color "green" and that is is "red"

There is a reality, and there is personal reality. Our personal reality (read: belief system) has faults and strengths. while based, even abstractly in reality, they may not accuratly represent it, save at the most fundamental ideas.

i think therefore I am simply designates that one exists. i am sentinent, therefore I must have some existence somewhere. it's not a statement toward what is or is not real at the moment.
