Why not just have the people who won tournaments like Vitriol, Dono, etc. occupy the first few spots for the invitations... then have the remaining spots voted on in a poll w/ the names of the rest of the people who asked to be invited.

Sounds like a practical solution. Might end up doing just that.

This is kind of how the April one was run. Just curious, if it were run this way, would the last Topical Champion get entry? I know I no-showed the Concept Tourney due to some emergency stuff, but it's my only no-show and it's not gonna happen again.
