Costello Official Picks:
Baltimore Ravens over Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins over St. Louis Rams
New Orleans over Carolina Panthers
New England Patriots over Arizona Cardinals
New York Giants over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
San Diego Chargers over Tennessee Titans
--
New York Jets over Pittsburg Steelers

Aight @ Teek; LETS .. BEEF!
First off, as a respectable candidate to this league & for your love of the Eagles, I respect your decision picking Baltimore over Philadelphia. Now, I want to know why: Injuries? Inconsistency? Lack of Progression Offensively? Defense? You've got some explaining to do!
Plus, your first choice is HIGHLY debatable right now: How do you see Buccaneers prevailing over the Giants this week? That judgement feels bias due to the Giants losing to the Cowboys.

Ok, the Giants Buccs game:
Obiously it's an off the wall pick. My head said Giants, my gut said Buccs.
Giants usually start off slow in the season and I think coming off a win, the Buccs may hae the momentum if Eli isn't on his game. Though I don't see the Buccs as a top contender in the league, I see them making some waves this year and this will be one of those trap games the Giants fall into. Like I said, it was a gut call I'll probably eat.
Eagles/Ravens: (the short version because I'm up at 5:30, but we'll draw this out to game time...
Vick was WAY off his game, even for him. A lot of that is rust, some of that is the Oline missing their starting LT and the replacement sucks.
Baltimore is going to absolutely shred that line on Sunday and Vick will be running for his life. When razzled from taking a few hits (which he DEFINATELY WILL with BMore) he flusters and makes very stupid mistakes like throwing into coverage. With Ed in the backfield, that makes things even worse.
I don't see our running game making much headway, and when Andy sees running not working, he calls even MORE pass plays, so shit will snowball. With the long ball out, Vick not fast enough for dumpoffs and the Raen's linebackers shutting down other short throws, I don't see us making much ground.
On the defensive side:
I think we have the capabilities to keep up with your WR's, but Flacco will still make some nice throws and get the chains moving. BMore's running game will do alright if they can get around Ryans and attack Rolle hoping to truck him or find the right gap in coverage since our DC lies to play Zone, even though the shit fails since we have MAN guys.
Our DT's and DE's will get pressure on all points, but Flacco is quick enough to kill us on screens and dump offs. We'll get to him for a few sacks though. One thing about Eagles D this year, our line reminds me of Baltimore as far as ferociousness.
I'm rambling and tired...
Overall.. Both D's are good, but I feel we have a couple weaknesses in playcalling which causes gap problems and our nickel packages are weaker.
On Offense, Unless Vick has a game handed down from God OR..he gets hurt again and Foles steps in, I see the points being low like last week. It basically boils down to Flacco being a more complete QB when he needs to be.
To be continued.......
