Now, I personally believe that being in text first, makes us understand it all more. We get the importance of punches and lyricism as the number one thing in the battle.
I just want to ask the audio (non text) guys, what they prioritise. To me it seems like flow and listenability. You guys can't be marking punches first as on a few occasions that Ive seen, a text guy with clearly better punches has last to someone with decent at best ones. What is your voting aims?

You could have the nicest lines but if they arent delievered properly they are pretty much worthless. I think the painful thing to see with a text to audio transformation is the failure to get that this is music and its about making an audio production not just saying some things to a beat. I also think it should be taken into consideration that just because someone didnt start by typing in a text box doesn't mean they don't have bars and structure.

Thats exactly why alot of dudes stick to text, because reading it you cant choke. Unfortunately for us audio guys Me especially, if I read your rhyme out loud and it sounds ass i'ma base part of my vote on that, no matter how many punchlines and metaphors you use. Text is a good practice ground, but not a real battle ground. There will never be a KOTD text league or grindtime text league and as far as I'm aware this whole text battle thing just came about with the internet and has no real place in hip-hop history apart from a new place to practice.

thats correct. BUT.... it must also be taken into consideration that just because someone starts in a text box, doesn't mean they have no flow or delivery/swag.
We have some crazy stereotypes on this site that people stick to.
I will never vote for a text head if the audio head beat him... end of story.

Exactly. I think text can help you with practice as far as writing is concerned. I see text typers refer to "flow" alot when judging a battle and never really understood. Its kind of funny we are having a discussion surrounded by segregation and stereotype on a day like today, ironic in a way..(In no way am I trying to compare this to that, feel me)...

lol...why do you look down at text? is it because you are merely mediocre at it?
why do you even text battle then?
you continue to want to compare apples and oranges dawg...one doesnt lead to the other....and neither leads to commercial success
