Oh in that sense, 2pac would have ended up like DMX/ODB. Dude was stupid as fuck and it would have never went down all that well for him.
I think he'd have a small enough following but a few commercial tracks would have made a slot of people dislike him, despite the fact that he's still be putting out a lot of real shit with lowly known westcoast guys. Basically, 2pac would have been Snoop Dogg.

2pac actually put out mad albums & got famous/cred from being controversial & his beefs with the entire East Coast... Controversary sells.. S'why Eminem is tha "White Pac"
Plus 2pac spoke from his heart, he was a poet. His shit had meaning to it.. It wasn't the same old hard gangsta shit, he expressed himself & got mad personal. Alotta dudes could relate. You can tell in most of his songs he just flowed from the heart...All the best rappers had music about true & emotional personal shit mixed with hard gangsta shit that brought controversary & beef & created publicity.

I agree with @ Dave Eminem has got better skill-wise as he went through his career. MMLP2 he's much more skilled than on Infinite. Infinite is a great album because it introduced us to him, I love infinite too.
Skill wise Em is the greatest rapper of all time. If you want to talk about story telling perhaps not, then maybe you go to people like Immortal Technique and Pac.

Explain how 2pac was stupid? because the media only displayed his negative side? Watch a 2 pac interview.
pac & em are legends. you shouldn't even be comparing the 2. they both have different styles. skillwise I would say 2 pac. story telling 2 pac.

2pac was mates with Suge Knight, nuff said.
2pac was basically like me when I was 10. He wanted to prove himself to the gangs he hung around with. He was basically Mike Tyson with heavy gang affiliations, and would always have been on a path of self destruction.
Also, I'm like 2pac's number 1 fan, but why do we pick and choose what the dude said? People say he was so emotional, intelligent and meaningful, and while true, the next song on that album was about shooting cunts and fucking bitches. 2pac's mind changed all the time but people act like he was never negative because he made Keep Your Head Up.
What I like most about 2pac is he hits every single sector of rap I like. If I'm in the mood for some aggressive shit, you've got Hit Em Up and Troublesome. For uplifting music you've got Keep Your Head Up and Baby Don't Cry. For emotional shit theirs Dear Mama and Brenda's Got A Baby. The list goes on. I just don't see how anyone on the planet can get a cold beer, sit out in the sun...and listen to Eminem.

Lol If Tupac were alive he would be something like Dr. Dre... his own label.. Except he would still be spitting .. People underestimate how much influence PAC had on the people.. If it were on person that could change the state of music right now.. It would be PAC. Dude was a genius.

I don't think so. While Pac was dope with music, he was also dope with gun crime and gang violence. Sure Dre pushed a chick down some stairs, but he wasn't exactly known for being a violent thug outside of that. 2pac would have got himself mixed up in so much shit, he wouldn't have been able to be quite the business entrepreneur that Dre is.
