The FVC has never worked once in it's entire existence. It was a solid idea in theory, but really it never happened to run correctly, hence why there have been like 6 different incarnations of it.
The old FVC's purpose was to give extra voting power to specific guys who have proven their voting worth. Then it diluted into giving extra voting power to anyone who actively votes. Then mods and shit started getting added despite them having additional voting power anyways.

so in your opinion, what wouldve been the correct way to make it work?if it never ran properly..?and i remember that, guys like phroxen, iamflow, talksick were members in the old fvc, along with venom, block,... problem is they voted whenever they felt like it.. and voting by good voters were dwindling... hence the idea of promoting consistent voters that were good battlers with a badge to honor and uphold their responsibility in answering requests to the best of their abilities

This is one I'm not saying "I could run it better". I'm pretty sure Student piggy backed off of an idea I posted about it tbh
Really, it's back to my usertitle rant. Rewarding people for shit like voting is like training a dog. You give them treats, they do the tricks. But unlike dogs, once the treats are gone the people stop.
But yeah, it was always hard to get together. There was one concept I liked but after Murda Muzik glorified cheating and we got an influx of these well known guys doing shit, it would be too shady to put together. Back when the FVC first started, it was a hidden user group. It was essentially all the mods and me (I wasn't a mod, but remember, back in the day EtH worked ). The idea was really for us to have superior voting power because we were really the best voters on the site at the time, or just about. But it was never to be something we got rewarded for. It wasn't something we were allowed to mention. It was just that we knew the battles that needed to be checked, were checked by people who knew their shit.
Couldn't work these days though.

so basically the top voters were incognito with the elevated vp... so it goes back to the member taking it upon themselves to vote everyday on all battles..

Yep, but as I said, didn't work. People don't want to vote all the time. People get fed up with the site. Lots of shit.
Need to have an actual team of people efficiently running the website to be able to keep the interest.

@ Row ... fair enough... Keep me in if you want, or kick me out. I honestly dgaf because audio doesnt really exist anyways. That and I am going to have to get major surgery soon, so this entire site is secondary to being a grown as man who has real life problems and priorities.
LMAO. Do what you do. I respect your FVC reputation historically (you're honestly one of the best FVC members ever @ Row), so I'm not hating too hard.
