Its exactly how becoming a world champion works. I know you're big on soccer so let's put out a hypothetical situation.. Let's say the U.S. is known for soccer and we have all the best teams/players etc etc
If Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Rooney, & Persie are some of the best in their respective countries....and you send them to play in the U.S. for a team
If, for example, Messi's team wins...they're world champions. They beat the cream of the crop because the league they're competing in is comprised of all the best players from all the countries in the world
Kids right now in Africa, China, Russia etc wanna be in the NBA and they don't even have to step foot onto an American court because they can play in their respective countries and if they're good enough the scouts will notice & they'll become draft prospects
the NBA is a worldwide league. It's an American sport and played in America.....but games are played in China & London too for the fans to see...People that dont even live in the U.S. can get recognized for their talents and drafted

No. Because Ronaldo just won the Champions League, which is THE elite club (Franchise for Americans) competition in the world. But it is a European Competition. He was crowned a European Champion. Because it's held and played between teams Geographically European.
Le Bron won the NBA Championship. He's a North American Champion because it's held in North America.
It's not about where the players in the TEAM come from. It never has been.
It's about where the TEAM hails from/competes and who the player PLAYS for. It always has been. There is no I in team. The team comes first. It always has and it always will.
Ronaldo will be a World Champion when
A.
He wins the upcoming World Cup with Portugal
B.
He wins the World Club Cup this January/December with Real Madrid (They qualify as the best team in europe after winning the Champions League I mentioned above.
Le Bron will be a world champion if Basket Ball ever holds a basketball world cup.
If the NBA ever agree to have the NBA champions (if it's the heat) compete against the winners of other leagues in the world.
This has been proposed before but the NBA turned it down (they were the only organisation)
No offense but Americans a generally very xenophobic/ignorant when it comes to sports. So I get it. you were raised to think a certain way. But your way of thinking is still wrong, because of logic. The logic I posted above. The logic which the rest of the world stands by so makes Americans look extremely arrogant when they call their national league winners, world champions.

I'll simplify it as much as I can
You take the best players from Germany, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, etc
Throw them into the U.S.
And have them play against teams in the U.S. that are comprised similarly ie; the best of the best from around the world
Well if you're somebody in the U.S. and you defeat a team that has the 3 best players from Brazil, who else is there to beat in Brazil? You just beat their 3 best players
hence why NBA players can call themselves World Champions
the geographic location doesn't have anything to do with it when players from around the world are accepted...the sport is based in the U.S... there's 30 franchises based on 30 U.S. cities because here's where the sport started. If somebody in China thinks they have what it takes to ball, U.S. players don't go to China to prove themselves, the Chinese come here
The logic you posted above just clarifies that the NBA is an American sport played in North America but nowhere in that logic is my logic of worldwide acceptance and the best of the world playing in the NBA debunked.

^The Olympics
We shit on people all the time and go back to playing regular NBA
Spain's olympic team was only that good because its best players were NBA players that opted t play for Spain
the same goes for Argentina & Great Britain
Without NBA players opting to play for their country there would be absolutely 0 competition ....NBA is the WORLD STAGE for basketball. Geographically, ok, its within North American borders.
But kids in China turnin on the TV to see whats goin on in the NBA
kids in Europe turnin on the TV to see whats goin on in the NBA
^^& the best players from Europe & China dont play in Europe and China..they play in the NBA. making it a worldwide thing.
the best of the best play here and the worst NBA team could probably easily beat the best team any country could conjure w/out including NBA stars playing for them
You're lucky NBA players call themselves World Champions and not Universal Champions cuz deez niggas in a league of their own b and it's a joke to call them anything other than world champions when everyone else in the world is useless and irrelevant as far as basketball is concerned

^Exactly......
'The U.S. can't call themselves world champions unless X and Y'
the problem is the NBA shits so hard on other leagues and any other attempts of basketball leagues that there is no world championship because the best of the best automatically go to the NBA
which by default makes it a world championship because the NBA is comprised of the best players from around the world
nobody wants to see U.S. vs Great Britain or something because there's no fun in watching a team get blown out by 50
people might wanna see the Spurs vs OKC though
the Spurs have one of the best Argentinian players in Ginobili, who will be a hall of famer..and a French player in Tony Parker, who will also be HOF. with a HOF coach...
like I said, the best of the best already compete here
no need for a world championship. once every 4 years is fine

Nonsense.
And Obey. So you mean to tell me The American National Team has never lost to another nation?
You're telling me that NBA teams aren't .500 in 4 against European teams?
How do I know this and you don't? aren't you a b-ball fanatic or you just trying to ignore that fact.
