Track 1. Meh. It's aight. Skipped it
Track 2. Skit
Track 3. Is fire. I love the beat and the sample with the james bond type notes mixed in on the verses. He goes in too. It's really different from what I was expecting. It's like old Em. has an SSLP/MMLP type feel in terms of creativity the way he mixes chirpy/cool production with dark lyrics.
Track 4. Def has an SSLP vibe in terms of the beat with the dark onimous piano keys. Not sure about the hook. It's aight. Never really been a fan of his singy hooks though. They all sound the same to me. It's aight. skipped it halfway through.
Track 5. COD Commercial. The chick murders the hook and the beats cool on a rock vibe. It's def the bird who shines though with the hook. She just nails it and really gets what the beat dictates. Em got a cool flow but he never really grabs my attention like he used to lyrically.
Track 6. Sounds like a Stan/Brain Damage hybrid remix from the content to the Rain FX in the BG. He goes in lyrically reminiscent of SLLP but not quite on the same level. It's like a struggling attempt to catch/paint that youthful struggle he nailed so well in Brain Damage. It's a second rate attempt. But still not BAD. Hooks repetative as fuck though. It's got that annoying Rhianna poppy style |"Ehhhhh Ehhhh".
-----
So far it's not half bad. It doesn't reach the past peak he was obviously trying to capture but it's his best effort for years. Liking the fact he ditched that annoying nazaly delivery.
Might be back with the rest if I can be assed. Track 3 is sick btw. easily the stand out track so far. I'm in love with the beat and the way he spits in tandem with it.

Why should people be content if the music is garbage?
It's his job to make a quality product and people shouldn't just pay for garbage and be like "well at least he's making music"
Everytime someone has a negative opinion on someones music you're right there talking down on them like they're outta line or lacking some perspective. Not being a dick I'm just saying maybe it's you who has it twisted.

Track 16/Evil Twin is fire minus the tired cliche'd celebrity jabs.
It has the best vocal production by a country mile. I wish the rest of the LP had the same production value. Unfortunately it's very up and down and kills his vocals. some tracks have weird muddy doubles and others have terrible problems with his S's/slurring or a mix of both. But Evilt Twins production is spot on.

So far I've been enjoying it. Some of the tracks I wasn't feeling. The first part to Track 1 was meh to me, but when it shifted I enjoyed it the instrumental a lot.

Headlights its fucking incredible man Jesus
Foster care, that cross you bare, few may be as heavy as yours
But I love you Debbie Mathers, oh what a tangled web we have, cause
One thing I never asked was where the fuck my deadbeat dad was
Fuck it I guess he had trouble keeping up with every address
But I'd have flipped every mattress, every rock and desert cactus
Own a collection of maps and followed my kids to the edge of the atlas
this shit raw in the song

but I can never understand how we rate music badly and 90% of the time, we'd never be able to make a track on that level. When we do make music, we get a bunch of "dopes" an 10's but when someone with more experience & knowledge like (Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye West) drop a song, we straight up call it "Garbage". We don't even waste a breathe calling it "Good, Decent, Nice, or Average" we just call it "Garbage" I always see this so it's not like I be jumping in for no reason.

Album is definitely one of the better he's put out recently. Rhyme or Reason is probably my favorite track. Never thought I'd see a rapper remake Time of the Season haha. Wasn't feeling a couple of the tracks but overall, it's a fire album. Not cancelling the preorder of the deluxe edition this time

The thing is. Well a few things.
The majority of consumers don't even make music. Just as the majority of sports fans (well a good percentage) don't play the sport of the team they support. Yet they will still get on the case of a player who has a poor showing. As a paying customer that's their right. It's give and take. You give a quality performance. You take my money and time/years invested. Don't perform or make major mistakes that cost the team I pay to support a W and you're going to hear about it. Just as you're going to hear my happiness/backing when you deliver the goods. Whether I can perform the same feats or not is completely irrelevant.
Thats why Mr Fashion Sense up there/in the other thread I moved his ramblings too is talking out of his ass
2. He's a payed professional, We're hobbyists. Thus the expectation bar is raised and lower'd accordingly when passing judgement on a body of work.
You expect great things, you're dissapointed.
You expect next to nothing/average, You're pleasantly surprised.
You can't hold L.B Track Maker 507 to the same standards as Eminem.
