@NOBLE I can understand why people would feel that way about Jay Z, but I think he's just a lot more reserved than a lot of celebrities. Jay Z and Beyonce are arguably 2 of the most famous people in the world, but their private life is kept private and I think that makes him look like he doesn't care. For example people like Breezy, Nicki, Rihanna, Wayne, Kanye etc bitch and moan that they can't have privacy or whatever and the media ruin their lives etc but Jay and Beyonce just prove that it's bullshit, and I guess that comes across as not giving a fuck. If you listen to Jay Z - 'my first song' I think it might change your perspective, it shows how much his heart is still in it.

Yea, you're right....him and Beyonce are more reserved than other celebrities and they seem to be trying to lead a normal life and I respect them for that. I also remember reading she bought him a $5 million watch for his birthday a year or two ago, which I thought was sickening. They have a right to spend their money how they want, but I find it difficult to understand how someone who comes from a background like the Marcy projects could spend that kind of money on a wristwatch when there are kids starving. Personally, I couldn't see myself doing something like that, even if I had that kind of money.

Thanks for the link. I know he's given free concerts and things like that, but I wasn't aware of his other charitable works.

Hahaha they're worth a billion together, and they both do a hell of a lot or charity work, but again unlike other celebrities they don't want their face all over the news every time they do something good for the world, and in my opinion that shows true compassion and not just doing it for the good reputation
