1.Honestly; Do you know what a Topical battle is?
Yes I do.
2.Why do you think people don't bother with Topical Battles?
Because their one-dimensional faggots who'd rather have something tangible in the form of a W/L record. Really though, most people don't know how. 90% of our demographic are people skipping the classes that would promote this sort of writing tbh
Simply, people sleep on the Topical section. Why do you think this is?
Because they sleep on every Forum except the Text Lounge and the Title Requests. It's a design issue that (I've heard through the grapevine) should be fixed soon. Topicals should replace Unranked Battles or be conducted in the exclusive arena. It might help to promote that side of the site as well.
3.What is incentive for you to participate in topical battles?
It's something different. It's something that nobody has 'mastered' on this site but a few and it's a medium that's more difficult than creating variations of disses.
There is a lot of talent on this site, a lot of you write songs, cyphers and are interested in Topical battles, despite this the lounge is widely slept on right now. What would encourage you all to participate is Topical battles, and motivate you to drop your solo pieces in the Writers Block lounge?
More drops by legitimate writers. The highest percentage of writers on here are either over-blown and deluded or under-confident. I just wanna read something dope without the constraints of 'I'm trying to be person X from 2007' for once
4.Pictures and Quotes
'One Word' and Literary Skills Competition (alliteration, wordplay, etc), Poetry competition (Hiku, Limmerick, etc.) Song writing (One to write a song tagged with an audio head to Record the verse) would all be cool spins on this forum. I'd love to see remarK try to spit a Lizman written..no pun
5.Should Topical records be made from who has the most wins/losses?
Once this gets going, I'd say yes. without a coded template for this, it will never happen. This is why I'm suggesting to use the unranked or even the exclusive framework since the usage there is slim to none.
Should that be the only factor when it comes to making the official record? Or should overall quality overrule quantity?
It shouldn't, but it will be. Let's just call that now...lol
6.Who would YOU like to see participate in the Topical Battle section?
Dead Poets Society
Would you be more interest in the Topical section if more 'big names' took part? If yes, who would you like to see involved?
Nope. Fuck a big name, it's all about pen game imo
7.Will you soon consider a Topical battle?
Absolutley...I've seen my share in the past.
Everybody is eligible to start a Topical battle. Is this something you could be interested in if adjustments were made.
Sure thing...

1.Honestly; Do you know what a Topical battle is?
I had a idea based on logic. A battle that is on a specific topic.
2.Why do you think people don't bother with Topical Battles?
I don't think most people bother with them because even though the word battle is in the name, they aren't battles.
3.What is incentive for you to participate in topical battles?
My incentive, is pure fun. I dislike the politics of the text battle section so i thought id give this a try. Would be nice to see medals and emcee items for this sorta stuff though.
4.Pictures and Quotes
Pictures and quotes work well. In fact i like the idea of pictures a lot. Im going to give that a try soon i think.
5.Should Topical records be made from who has the most wins/losses?
Hmm, possibly. Maybe as well as a record have a percentage, a person percentage of staying on topic, which after all, is what counts most.
6.Who would YOU like to see participate in the Topical Battle section?
Everyone lol?
7.Will you soon consider a Topical battle?
Did one before i saw this thread. And i will return.
8. Additional comments
Punches should be aloud as long as they are on topic.
The fact that its 20-60 lines is kinda.. weird. Especially as most people coming from the standard lets beef layout. Personally i would have preferred if it was in increments of 16 lines 32 lines or 64 lines. (Once i got to twenty two i had nothing really pushing me to finish it off, because 20 is enough)
And another reason it gets slept on, is because not many people use this site for its forums, only people who have been here a long time. I still dont use them that much.

Another idea, if you dont mind. Dunno if you could do this here or if its even considered a topical battle.
Me and my X-gf used to do writing challenges.
8 Completely different high vocab words.
Turn it into 16 Lines.
Or, for more difficulty, 16 words for 16 lines ect.
(maybe better for the writers lounge) just thought id throw it out there.

Catch is you still gotta make a story, or make your own topic from the words. I managed to make an entire verse about Nostradamus using this method.

1.Honestly; Do you know what a Topical battle is?
Already thought I did, but went and read the guidelines to make sure. So, yes.
2.Why do you think people don't bother with Topical Battles?
Not trying to be an asshole, but I honestly think it's because guns, bitches, and drugs are all the majority are used to writing about.
3.What is incentive for you to participate in topical battles?
Growth as a writer. When you challenge yourself doings things outside of your comfort level is when you evolve further. If you mean what could Letsbeef do to provide incentive for it's users, maybe encourage topical battles based on remixes of songs they already like. I'm not a Wayne fan, but if I was, a topical battle as a remix of A Milli would be something that might entice me.
Additionally, I think a lot of people here just want to be _heard_. They want to know someone listened to or read their work. If there was a group of people willing to provide encouraging feedback on each piece posted there, I think it'd bring in more people. For the record, I'm willing to be one of those people.
4.Pictures and Quotes
Videos and songs. _Especially_ songs. There's a lot of songs I've personally been profoundly inspired by and would like to offer my own tribute to.
5.Should Topical records be made from who has the most wins/losses?
I think no matter what you do in regards to Topical Records, you're fucked. It's ultimately subjective and there will always be people that get butt hurt about it. That said, I think something similar to the Fair Voter's Club should be used and that the records NOT be by most wins/losses but the highest average score. In other words, even if you've lost more battles than someone else, but you consistently put out work that averages at a 9/10, you should be above the guy that has more wins but consistently averages 7/10. Make sense?
6.Who would YOU like to see participate in the Topical Battle section?
Jason's the only guy I really know on the text side. And his stuff's ridiculous. Also this kid Rythmus used to be on here, but he ghosted. His stuff was bonkers too.
7.Will you soon consider a Topical battle?
Yeah, I'm down. Even if I don't like the topic, I like the challenge.
