I tried watching it but I can't get into it. It's loud and in your face without the wit to back it up. I was expecting it to at least have a deeper more subtle layer of humour like South Park has. SP is loud and in your face but lying just underneath it is a very sharp, clever finger poking social commentary which makes it work for those into gross out obnoxious fart, dookie, rape gags and cartoons. And for those into it's subtleties to be the yin to the OTT characters yang. Just in the same way Family Guy does, but to a lesser extent or way GTA does with it's radio and TV shows and characters.
Rick and Morty just seems very 1 tone to me and that 1 tone isn't even very funny.
Just watch and compare Mr Garrison to the black Maths Teacher in Rick And Morty and it just sums it up how 1 dimensional the characters are in R&M.

South Park is my shit & each new episode comes in fresh with something relevant & sometimes a hidden message is involved..
