Top Notch (A Former Moderator who banned more people then Macc has multi-accounts) came up with the idea of hosting the first ever Topical tournament, he asked me to co-host (2006, like a month before I became a staff member) and Jason won that tournament, from there Jason went on to stardom (LB-wise) so yes, Notchy was a solid staff member, dope texter and definitely deserves to be in the LB Hall of Fame.

First, why did you mention 2006? The first topical tournament was in something like 2009. Jason didn't join until 2008.

Second, Jason didn't "go on to stardom". He was already popular. Essentially, if you look at every single non-EtH run topical tournament, the person who won just "happened" to be a big time text battler on LB. If you look off-site, that's never the case. Really, there's a reason why I could never get RULE, Erupt, Jason or anyone else to accept a topical battle against me. They knew their text battle popularity wouldn't win them a real topical.

ANYWAYS, It was 2009 and he was getting popular but it wasn't until after he won that Topical Tournament that he became a moderator, I think. Man I know WAY too much information, it's taking up way too much space in my brain.

Third, I don't agree with you because they had some dope cyphers (imo) clearly the topicals you refered to are a completely different style though.

That's too broad of a statement to make, that's like saying what hip-hop really is. There's so many sub-genres that you can't categorize the entire term. I.E. your style of topicals (Netcees or whatever site you mostly battled on, Erebus) =/ LB's style of topicals
