Be honest, when I first returned to the site I didn't. Do you think the section would be more active with clearer guidelines and advice/instructions available upon request?

i had read a couple battles saw the gist of what they were doing a couple months back... so i have a pretty solid idea of what it is and how it works... as far as guidelines and stuff... i think it should just be another section or something... like where video battles used to be.... just make a topical section and set it up similar to battles... but that could also be a disaster with newbs... so idk... mods can figure that out lol


2.Why do you think people don't bother with Topical Battles?


Simply, people sleep on the Topical section. Why do you think this is?

I think it's because majority newbs and stuff are only into battles and stuff... they are "wanna be" lyricist but only the money making type and battling making fun of people... there aren't alot of people who are in it for elevation of the art of lyricism... like with me... i was writing poems growing up so when hip hop came a long it was an easy transition... i already have a love for words... most of these rappers dont... as simple as that...


3.What is incentive for you to participate in topical battles?


There is a lot of talent on this site, a lot of you write songs, cyphers and are interested in Topical battles, despite this the lounge is widely slept on right now. What would encourage you all to participate is Topical battles, and motivate you to drop your solo pieces in the Writers Block lounge?

TBH i didn't know what the writers Block was till just now lol but forreal though i think for me it's just the fact that nobody ever does topical so it's not attractive to just go in right away and battle...


4.Pictures and Quotes


Right now the topics given are in the form of pictures and quotes. Do you think there's any other theme formats that should be included?

off the top of my head... no... that's the best ways to do it IMO


5.Should Topical records be made from who has the most wins/losses?


Should that be the only factor when it comes to making the official record? Or should overall quality overrule quantity?


i believe quality should ALWAYS overrule quantity... i could have faced 200+ newbs in a text battle and be undefeated... but id still not be considered the best to ever hit the site...

6.Who would YOU like to see participate in the Topical Battle section?


Would you be more interest in the Topical section if more 'big names' took part? If yes, who would you like to see involved?

it's alot of people id like to see hop over here... like Reefer, Erupt, Mayneak, RULE, Askari, ITz Killz and more... alot to name but those are the one's who id think be hella dope in it... at least who i have no knowledge of being in topical...


7.Will you soon consider a Topical battle?

Already did lol... in the lil tourney already i think i could be dope in it once i get the hang of it...

reason being is because they are more in tunes with the other snenes and in topicals it takes more 'Thought" therefore they dont have the pacience to come up with real art instead of just reckless gunlplay

I been meaning to get with this awhile back but had no time.. love doing cyphas and anything involving DEPP THOUGHT,also like to have skills in varies departments to be nicely rounded

seems decent enough but you can try "one word".. like "obscure" and see how

1 - the think about it when it 1st comes to mind

2 - how they would portray that word in a sub of generalization.themself,or 3rd person

3 - seeing diff creativity that way by taking out a lil more detail than necessary

big names dont matter as long as they all have substance.. even if they dont there is always the elvation part and seeing how people blossom thier skillz

Yes, a battle based of a single topic and is judged on the content, and who can articulate the subject better, but still holds true with the categories of judging. Mulit's/meta's/sim's/ect/ect/ whether that topic be a picture, scenario created, ect. ect. (Ex. Fight in the Jungle)
