People who rhyme the same word over and over
Why do voters criticise it? they will say 'You rhymed *insert word* twice'.. You know there is nothing wrong with doing that as long as it is all a part of a specific theme? Live battlers do it all the time, so why is it frowned upon in text as a form of wordplay? It shows a certain swag and cleverness, not a lack of vocabulary. I've been writing my reply to phenomenon and rhymed the same end word 4 times and I know a few slow mothafuckas are going to completely miss or over look the intentional underlying theme and say. 'You rhymed *insert word* 4 times' .. Are you 1 of those people?

I disagree. I think it shows more creativity and outside the box thinking. Words are there to be played with in battling and that includes the same word. It only shows a lack of creativity if it doesn't serve a purpose.

If there is reason to the rhyme then yes. You're not taking into account that CAT would be the end word as part of a rhyming 5 syllable set. So every 4 syllables part of that set before CAT would be different. Like I said if it is part of a distinct theme and the word CAT has a different meaning to it each time, how is that not showing creativity?

I feel you. This makes more sense with audio battling BUT text battling is completely different because people are more concerned with the verses that have the more COMPLEX VOCABULARY. Especially, if you're able to land a strong punch in the end without saying the same (nigga, bitch, fucker) as your end rhyme every time. Try to mix it up and "open your mind" and it'll make you that much better of an emcee imo.

What about Iron Solomons whole TAKING SHOTS OF JIN while TAKING SHOTS AT JIN scheme? He rhymed TAKING SHOTS twice used JIN in his whole scheme.
What about DNA's whole EURRRGH scheme?
He rhymed the word EURRRRGH like 20 times all with a different meaning.
I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Once again.. these are audio battles.
COMPLETELY different from Text battling. The scheme makes sense and all but as a voter (in the text section) they're going to look and see the same words said over and over again and get bored as if you used this in an "Audio battle" you would be able to project your voice to make it sound more POWERFUL (I guess you can say)..

I don't think of it as rhyming. You can't rhyme the same word, but that's what people refer to it as for Ex: 'you rhymed cat twice'

I don't see the difference. Both are creative writing and some people use text verses to audio battle. Creative thinking and writing is just that, whether it be text or audio. Who writes text verses that can't be translated into audio?
If your text verses can't be translated into audio, you're doing something wrong. I.E you're forcing it.

True.. but would it be more creative to transfer a different word for the same word everytime? I feel like if you can insert a different word that rhymes after every bar, I feel like this is already strengthening your vocab base. Just my opinion though..
Take Eminem, for example, you don't see him rhyming the same shit over and over after every bar.. he uses his vast vocabulary base to insert different end rhymes and still keeps the concept relevant to what is being said before.

It Sounds like your making excuses for your bars before you even drop. Wait it sounds like that because you are. But your doing an 8 line battle, so to rhyme *Cat four times in a row for half your lines would be horrible.
