LB EVENT GUEST LIST?

It's not really a good way to get exposure. We'll be lucky to break 200 views on any video. But at the end of the day, repeat events could be dope for us and if it all looks slick and professional, it's great for the site (would have been better had V4 been more than bullshit though).

Still though, paying to perform is ludicrous.

200 views is better than none at all. There will be an audience at the scene so the ones performing should get a little love there. It's always better when you're actually spitting live and its being recorded than doing it over a website behind a computer screen...

How would you say only 200 views lmao .. LB video battle tourneys are get 2000+ views on YouTube (more than some battle leagues)

I think that you guys have no clue as to what is going on in this event .. I never paid to battle Vicci I was asked to .. We set it up and bong that's how it goes

Any LB member that was to show up would be taken care of .. I know there will be a cover charge but we talking 10-20 dollars tops if you can spring that then you need to get your life

^^^ @Fiji Osa , I plan to show up... All I was suggesting at this point was to have a bit more LB member input for the pre and post show events that are not planned, but @Pugz mentioned would still take place.

It would be nice to have some LB under-card battles and a cypher (which the cypher is already going down according to the boss mon.)

These LB battles could be short rounds (maybe 3 tops) of 1 and a half minute written or freestyle, and would help promote the site through its members.... just an idea.

If you're saying 10-20 entrance fee, that's 100% acceptable. Paying to PERFORM is a bit ridiculous, but I would have expected that you'd pay to be able to speculate or even to enter (as a performer). Have to fund everything somehow.

Fiji, I'm sure you agree that there was some bullshit going on with the LB youtube views. 10 months ago, the videos have like 1500-2000 views. The average at 9 months and under is like 300 max. What? How is the jump going that much? Obviously there was something going on there to make the views appear to be higher. Nothing has that much of a drop down, and if LB is like 5 times less popular than we were 10 months ago, we may as well call it a sinking ship now cause 10 months ago it was still dead.

@FREEK stuff will be more concrete as to how events are going to be ran .. there will be PRE and there will def be POST after the event.

As with any place a performer will have to pay some type of out of pocket fee in order to preform unless it is open mic somewhere - this LB showcase is not the case

back at my club that I promoted for people wanting to feature a set paid 400 for a 45 min set .. but all the audio equipment was handled and there was always about 300-400 people that was there to watch not to mention the multiple celebs that was there

got to pay to play but if you are serious about your craft then 150 is a drop in the bucket for the added exposure it gives you tbh

^^^ @Fiji Osa , this event should at least partially be to promote Letsbeef.com and its loyal members, so I don't feel like you answered my question about having members battle in an under-card. (Obviously I already know there will be a pre and post show.)

I also don't have $100 to $150 to spare as I am about to switch leases and be unemployed momentarily... because that is what it is. I also think its a foolish assumption to believe that the event should promote individuals rather than the greater LB community (no hate).

Don't pretend that some people weren't handpicked and others asked for money... Its honestly a bad look. I mean obviously having some big acts is important, but I feel like yall left out your base population... making the event less attractive and having a lot of LB people not wanting to come.

I thought the idea of the event was to promote the site (which is losing activity) by "showcasing" what WE do on here... No hate once again, because I love that this is happening... just trying to make the event reach a greater potential.

I suggest including more member input for the pre- and post- shows, since this was not done previously and membership is clearly an important aspect of the site, which is struggling.

i feel what your saying @FREEK but i think it's more important to give these talented artists on LB the exposure they've been working hard for. Plus, when people see how dope these artists are they are going to want to try it out themselves. Having the best of LB perform will give the site the exposure it needs. I do think it's fair to charge a hundred or 2 for time to perform because it makes sure the performers are serious about what they are doing. Although, i believe there should be some time for amateur battlers of LB to battle just for fine and maybe a small fee.


I'm really looking forward to this event. I hope i can make it.

COSIGN... That is all I was trying to say. I have nothing against the chosen performers, just think the "amateur" population of LB should be represented in Pre- and Post- Show.

Theres a cypher and freestyles lined up for before and after.. the reason we didnt put full lb on the cards is because we need to garuntee he people are gonna show up... lbs name is behind this event.. logo and shoutouts will be splashed everywhere... more than anything I want people to see we are a rap platform and I think that'll be accomplished
