In a live battle environment
How do you think you'd do? What are your strengths & weaknesses?
Personally I think I'd dominate. Why? Because I got the bars to back it up and I'd shit on 90% of the people involved in organized live battling leagues
& With the confidence I have I'd get over whatever little stage fright I had..
now if I was rap battling in a crowded venue with a shitload of people..I won't lie, my nerves might get the best of me. Its easy to say you'd do good in a live environment but im sure its very different with cameras in your face & all eyes on you
but I've given presentations and I've talked in front of a decent sized audience several times...nervous at first, still nervous..but it doesnt show anymore.

Did you have to memorize the presentation?
Was it competitive?
Did your rep depend on it?
Was the room full of people hoping you fuck up for entertainment's sake?

False, and any basic COMS class will assure you otherwise.
You'd actually be surprised if you watched yourself doing a presentation after being nervous. Unless you're damn near a panic attack, it hardly ever shows.

KK knows... shit is nerve rackin man. Obv people are more confident than others, but it will still get to you. I wont lie, I thought I was a very confident person, and I still do. However, preparing for a battle and leading up to the battle, I'm still brimming with confidence. As soon as my name is called, sayin that I'm on next, it hits me looooool. I've gotten way more comfortable with it, And watching the footage in chronological order will show that, but, the nerves are still always there, even if just a little bit.

LOL at @ Jason not realizing what I post on these forums is a gimmick and for my entertainment alone yet.
But seriously, you can be as confident as you like. Step up there and actually do it and then truthfully tell me how you felt.

Jason is always on some bullshit
to elaborate; I've taken a college course on speech & communications..which is just presenting in front of people
so I feel pretty comfortable. Now in a much larger environment, like, 500+ people..idk.
I could rap in front of 100 people though.

@ Jason I was more-so debunking your claim of emotions ALWAYS being displayed through involuntary physical actions, which simply isn't the case. That's just the asshole side of me that likes to argue simply for the sake of arguing though.
In rap battles, where niggas sole purpose is to intimidate and humiliate their opponent, I'm sure it can be rather nerve-wrecking to the point where one would exert noticeable nervous actions to the audience.
As a side-note though, why do people feel the need to discredit someone else's opinion by beginning their rebuttal with shit like "lmao" or "you're a dumbass" or other lame shit like this? Is it not just as effective to respond intelligently with evidence to support why the person is a dumbass, which implicates your intellectual superiority anyway?
Just sayin'...

Rigga, fuck basic coms. @ Dono clear this up for me please, unless you are a trained navy seal, psychologist or mental case there are ALWAYS signs of how you feel. Like when you lie your brow twitches: it's uncontrollable, or if you're attracted to someone your eyes widen; it's uncontrollable, if you're nervous you sweat, it's uncontrollable. I could go on and on. Almost all emotions are the same, you can't hide anything completely as there are physiological factors that are out with conscious control.
As for how I'd cope battling live? I've performed as part of a band and on my own for years so I think I'd fare well, I have bars too. Accent would likely be an issue though ha.
