KOTD World Domination 4 - Day 1 News Report by Askari
This report is all based on tweets and update threads on other sites in an effort to be unbiased and accurate, and save you all trudging through 80 pages of updates elsewhere. I wrote it quickly on my phone but I think I got it all.
TOP STORY
Last night at KOTD's WD4, battle rapping gimmick extraordinaire Daylyt - famed for dressing up as batman, literally "sleeping" on Math Hoffa and getting naked during his battles (among other things) - rubbed the sweat from his balls and wiped it on opponent Loe Pesci's face. Further to this, Grape St Crip Daylyt opened an umbrella mid-battle and pocket-checked the Canadian favourite. Pesci did not retaliate.
According to the Twitter feeds and update threads, Pesci had the better of the bars, but his character came into question when he failed to stand up to Daylyt's invasive and disrespectful actions.
I don't know about you all, but as far as I'm concerned Daylyt has lost it. Sure, Pesci shouldn't have just stood there, but what Daylyt did was just fucking stupid. I've been a Day fan for a while but after his battle with Rich Dollaz he started getting weird and corny. It's a shame cause he can actually spit. If he pulls that shit at Summer Madness the Smack crowd and entourages will fucking crucify him.
Also from day 1 WD4:
100 Bullets decisively dismissed JC in an arguable 3-0; JC - uncharacteristically - stumbled several times and battled crowd noise/feedback throughout. An off night for the usually solid kid.
Much to the surprise of the KOTD crowd, Shotgun Suge failed to show for his battle with Charron, who had told everyone Suge was in the building. After some confusion on stage, Bishop Brigante announced Suge had backed out. To this, on the big screen, the camera panned the battlers and stopped at DNA, exclaiming he would battle Charron there and then on the spot. The battle went down, and reports suggest it was an unmitigated classic, with both sides renowned for freestyle ability. Later reports indicate that Suge was never in the building, and that DNA had been offered this match 3 days prior after Suge struggled with passport issues. KOTD taking some showmanship from WWE it would appear. Regardless, the battle was said to be off the scale, with the general consensus being Charron had the performance of a lifetime, more than staking a claim for the KOTD title shot.
The final battle of the night was the long awaited rematch between Arsonal and Dizaster. According to most reports I'm seeing Diz 2-1 or 3-0, with Dozaster finally bringing 3 written rounds to the table rather than free styling most of his shit. From what I gather, Arsonal was on point, but Diz's pen game and mix of freestyles went off much better in the room. This battle, of course, was not without drama; in an unlimited third round Dizaster was cut off by host Organik, who had his mic turned off. Dizaster was said to have gotten in Ganik's face regarding the incident as the third was set to be unlimited for both rappers. To this, Diz turned to the crowd and carried on spitting his verse with no mic. Reports all state that the crowd was "electrified", going nuts for Dizaster's bars and the energy he was creating. Diz was finally silenced when the DJ began the music, just before the end of his verse.
In all this sounds like a great night. Stay tuned; if I get a chance tomorrow I'll read the updates and condense them all into one concise thread for day 2.
