So, WE failed in YOUR attempt to gather information regarding the notion of impersonal sympathy, through the means of social media? How can the individual being examined fail, in an attempt by the proprietor of the experiment to gauge reaction in a situation, unless those conducting the experiment were to have a preconceived notion of the reaction of a collective of individuals in such a situation? It appears to me, that you are too narrowly focused in your hypothesis. Your understanding of the scientific method is shallow at best.
