Pokemon Battling Tips
Strengths
- Normal type Pokemon are effective against pretty much anything except Ghost, Rock, and Steel.
- Fire is super effective against Grass, Ice, Bug, and Steel.
- Water Pokemon are super effective against Fire, Ground, and Rock.
- Electric is super effective against Water and Flying Pokemon.
- Grass type Pokemon are super effective against Water, Ground, and Rock.
- Ice Pokemon are super effective against Grass, Ground, Flying, and Dragon.
- Fighting is super effective against Normal, Ice, Rock, Dark, and Steel Pokemon.
- Poison is only super effective against Grass type Pokemon.
- Ground type Pokemon are super effective against Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock, and Steel.
- Flying Pokemon are super effective against Grass, Fighting, and Bug.
- Psychic is super effective against Fighting and Poison type Pokemon.
- Bug : super effective against Grass, Psychic, and Dark.
- Rock : super effective against Fire, Ice, Flying, and Bug Pokemon.
-Ghost : super effective against Psychic and Ghost.
- Dragon : super effective against Dragon.
- Steel : super effective against Ice and Rock Pokemon.
IMO, most effective move any Pokemon can possess without actually "attacking" their opponent...Attract. Lol. There.. you was wondering how I "fell off" and been writing lackadaisical verses, now you know.
Don't believe attraction is an effective move, listen to my story. Okay.. so I had the Pokemon with arguably the best defense in the game--Steelix.
I was facing some small Pokemon, I forget it's name, but my first attack was either a headbutt or a steel tail attack which brought my opponent's HP down about 1/4 of the way down. It's first attack, you guessed it, was attract. Smh
I attempted to use the same move again and across the screen it says, "Your Pokemon is attracted and is unable to attack." So, I'm sitting there like "Okay, I can wait this out for a bit until he loses attraction and try the same attacks again"...Wrong!
This little motherfucker was using it's weak ass moves against me which would only take like 5-10 HP down after each attack which isn't shit when it comes to Pokemon battling or any RPG game tbh. On top of that, it's HP was still sitting 1/4 of the way down while my HP was slowly reducing.
Once again, I was sitting there hoping my nigga, Steelix, would snap out of it but he never did and the match literally took 15-20 minutes to cease. Although, this shit's silly, I was mad as hell after taking that defeat. Especially, to a move like "Attract". Oh.. and it's HP remained "1/4 of the way down" throughout the entire match.

Don't chat shit, Verity.
Pokemon battling is a lot more real than rap battling.
At least Pokemon actually shoot fire. Rap battlers just talk about it.

Make sure you come prepared with those master balls when your going at a legendary, found that Palkia in Pokemon black, went straight through like 20 ultra balls and its health was tiniest bit of red. Those are some nice tips, just make sure you get a fire Pokemon as your starter, Highest attack level available. I forget what water and grass special ability is though.

@ Verity Pokemon Battling is like real life, don't you think? I can easily compare battling, in general, to the traits Pokemon have.
@ josh "Surf" is the special move for Water Type Pokemon, I believe. I'm not sure about the Grass, though.

I always thought Razor Leaf was pretty effective tbh.

It was more strategic then the other character themed games. Seems complicated at first but it was worth learning. Plus it was a dope school hustle, used to play niggas for money back in 4th grade so I could triple up on chicken patty wednesdays lol...
