First timer question

Alright so I'm ready to start battling and everything but I have a couple questions.

First of all, I noticed on most of the battles the emcees don't mention each other like in a live freestyle battle. Like they don't call em out at all. Would it be bad taste to do so?

Also, what's the best process to get started? Do I just start a battle and wait for someone to join or is it better to work it out with someone before hand? Or should I just start callin bitches out?

The reason why you might not have heard a lot of personals or name play in battles is because the first person will have posted an open battle meaning any random guy can take it. First person posting blind so cant get personal & the Random guy accepting it might not have got personal to keep it an even playing field.

As far as you batting you can post open battles in the arena meaning like I said before anyone can take it. This can put you at a serious disadvantage though because it eliminates your personals.

Or you can be the guy sniping the open. A few people do that to "boost their record" but the forum heads know the deal that it's nothing more than a cheap cop out.

If all your after if boosting your record and posting a lot of battles, thats your route.

But if you're a quantity over quality guy and just want some genuine decent competition. Your best bet is to make a specific or general call out to anyone down to battle either in here. Or the Text or Audio Lounges depending on what you do.

You'll have no shortage of people willing to battle.
