Either you or DaMostH8ed may send, however, if neither one of you sends before the deadline, DaMostH8ed will be considered the loser since his name is on the left, and you will advance. Whoever sends first will determine the mode of the battle (acapella or riding beat) and whoever responds must follow the mode of the battle that was sent to them. So if DaMostH8ed sends to you first riding a beat, you must respond riding a beat.
