I didn't think orange titles were to be given out for tournies with less than 32 competitors? I know activity is at a low point, but, why not run forums tournies without titles until we can be in a position in which we can fill an actual tournament that matters like the titled tournaments with enough competitors? Forum tournies can have just as much of an incentive for people to battle if done correctly. By offering things like signatures, other graphic work, t's from the site, etc. Just my two cents.

That's not true. Look at some of the ROTY tournaments, last years one bar, the topical tournament. I get what you're saying but this is the official scheme tournament. There will be a title given and it will be held in the official brackets. No one wants to battle in a tournament and win a signature (At least IMO)

I consider the ROTY the only exception, because it was never reliable to presume there'd be 32 sign ups in a year. But, to my knowledge, orange titles, and officially bracketed tournaments were supposed to only be given to tournies with 32 competitors, and blue titles only in tournies with 64. That was the original ruling on them prior to the most recent topical. That's what made them "official" tournaments.

Edit: I'm just saying, I don't think you should belittle the original intent of official tournaments by dwindling the number of competitors. That's one of the predominant reason they were/are official tournaments in the first place. Because then you open up the possibility of people winning a title(like myself) from tournaments that are complete shit. And that cheapens the title overall.
