What kept you on Letsbeef.com?

As you know, our biggest site issue currently is the retention of new members. We get a lot of new sign ups, daily. But, they tend not to stick around for long. With that in mind, I'll ask the following:

What made you decide to stay on Letsbeef?

And what do you think would help other members to make the same choice?

Edit: Nothing that involves coding, pls. Kthnx.

i stayed as i would miss :

rant's massive brain
subreals massive ego
and all the massive assholes in chat .

seriously tho , i posted a thread saying newbies leave as the get sniped a couple of times , lose , then give up . suggestion was to make unranked arena a newbie only zone where they can battle each other and have more experienced members give them pointers on where to improve instead of folks saying shit like 'ya garbage' and other negative stuff - concentrate on their positive points and give them advice . and also , send a welcome e-mail explaining about how battles and voting work , and also a quick section on how to battle-rap , with tips on stuff like wordplay , multis , punches , metas etc , would stop people joining and wondering wtf they have to do next lol - and i know you said no coding but surely that would not take much time and effort even ? and the e-mail welcome/tips would take little skill or time to do....

I'm already working on a welcome PM. But, we can't really enforce members to battle in a specific area of the site.

@Rant , honestly, one thing that has kept me here, but has gone reallllllly downhill....
community involvement. BOTH users and staff alike...

Over-site by admin. and moderators is dwindling, but still kept alive by primarily @Row , @Rant , @ILLoKWENT , and @Student.

There seems to be a lack of online support as far as holding tournaments and successful competitions...
OF COURSE, I SAY THIS WITH LOVE:
@NOBLE 's return has been helpful , but I feel that @Pugz and @Muggz have been potentially too focused on the live events ... and I am not sure about @RULE (not on staff anymore?)... which has left us handful of regulars to hold the site down itself as the original format of LB.

I am concerned that the site has lost a lot of momentum on the audio side. There was a time when Muggz, Rant, Stricc, Phil, Unknown, Sub, Peaceful Warrior, etc. and I used to hold very successful weekly tinychat cyphers and impromptu battle events. What happened to that?

Oh, look. It's just like your time as a mod.

Not a single noteworthy contribution.

The opportunity to make a name for myself and influence other members as well as elevate.

To See If They Finally Get It.

No Current Other Member Would Ever Make The Same Choice.
