audio cypher.. with a beat

i dont get it, i can start an audio battle with or without a beat, and i can start a audio cypher with out a beat, BUT I CANT START AN AUDIO CYPHER WITH A BEAT... same thing when i try to respond to one, the recorder looks different and the beat never plays and when i click record nothing happens...

what am i doing wrong?
