The Verbal Artisan, born and raised in Queens has been writing creatively ever since she could formulate sentences. Having a father who has worked with what are now considered legends and pioneers of Hip Hop, she was always in the atmosphere of creative greatness. Exposed to Rakim and Mc Lyte at the early age of 9 years old, she was able to differentiate lyrical greatness from lyrical weakness. There was no poet that inspired her towards writing poetry this was an internal fire simmering for years. She really got serious about her talent around 1996-1997 when she wrote yet never published her first book of poetry entitled: "REALISTIC book of poetry". She stepped away from her notebook and pen for approximately 7 years, only to return to her true calling and most importantly her true passion and self-published her book entitled: “OPEN MIC: Reflections of the Street part 1”.
