Aye. Punching is the key element to battle rap that not only separates us from the weaker subsets of Hiphop, but also makes us the most aggressive and deadly. Using similes to execute these punches is the most fundamental system of formulating punchlines.
A simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid. These usually include "like" or "as."
Examples:
as brave as a lion
crazy like a fox
So in this practice exercise, we will be writing our own simile with the given stencil above, then providing our own at the end of our comment to keep the chain going. (Just like the other exercises/)
So if the first stencil was "LIKE A FURNACE" you'd write something along the lines of:
"You only hot cus they gas you up, you LIKE A FURNACE!"
Doesn't matter how creative your line is, just needs to be a simile.
