Listen, it's been a minute since I've written a verse.
Though odd it seems, I dropped my dreams, then had them kicked to the curb.
Cryptic absurd visions converged--I saw my mic wither with earth,
and with her, I withered, but now we both have risen from dirt
to bring some light and even life to the bleakest of minds.
Seek and you'll find: seasons see sons breech from inside
a world that would only allow you to sleep while confined--
and it reoccurs eternally... Let me show you; you'll see through my eyes...
From the darkest of caves where only two hearts pulses were played,
I wasn't consulted, but made to move through a tunnel, crawl, and behave;
From there I was misunderstood, my screams were calls to be saved,
but all they conveyed were nothing, so I had to always be scathed...
Then another breech occurred--I learned to use the right symbols,
I would write nimbly, rhyme rhythmically, though it was trite, simple;
it helped me show what I meant when my screams would make the skies skin crawl...
But no one read it.... And that's why it's all.......... muddled.
