Nothing pisses me off more than someone who fronts like they strapped with gats. Like why the fuck you want your life to be about that? They think being a thug will get em a maybach. Funny joke reality bout to hit you with an open palm bigger than Shaq. Kids who's biggest idols are Tupac and Biggie smalls. And when their albums dropped they copped em all. These lines are about Johnny who had the dream to spit raw. Wanted to be a true gangsta not thinking bout the fall. At the age thirteen he started puffin Paul Mall's. Started selling cocaine constantly getting in brawls. Got locked up and his mom was appalled. 23 hours a day all he saw was a cell wall. Knew he had to change his life but he wasn't ready. When he finally got out of jail he stepped onto the streets and his palms were sweaty. Tried to think clear but his thoughts were heavy. Mind unsteady so he puffed Dro to calm it down.  Everyone knew what he had down cuz he was from a small town. The day he'd face death was just a countdown. And that very day he was released he changed his life for the better. His homies asked if he'd go back to the old days he said, "naw man never!" So see the moral of the story is that Johnny finally learned. That success cannot be hustled it can only be earned. Now if only the children would see that being a gangsta ain't what it's cut out to be. But thats my motivation for being an emcee. To preach to the kids who have nothing and who's hearts are empty. This is my first cypher so the hate will probably be plenty. But the truth is your criticism doesn't affect me.
