I have givin' alot of thought to the battles being fought
And i wonder to myself what our kids are being taught
We spit hate in our debates, and we dont read what we create
We create a society that embodies the hate trait
T.V. depicts gangsta's and shooting and violence
The parents let them watch it, and sit watching in silence
What do we say when we encourage these acts
We don't teach facts, we teach them how to attack
How to react when someone talks back
To car jack, how to buy drugs and smoke crack
We lack values in our lyrics, i will say it again
They encourage the gangsta life, but when does it end?
I don't mean to hate, but i must admit
The shit that we spit, i hesitate to submit
Our kids need to shoot niggas that always talk shit
As long as they won, who cares what crime they commit
If he is talking smack just hit is ass with a bat
If he keeps talking shit put a bullet in his back
Their idols smoke, snort, and shoot up drugs
It glorifies life on the streets, and life as a thug
We write about this and give it so much glory
Sitting behind bars for life ain't much of a story
They can grow up and run companies, even if they aren't smart
Are their only options to sell drugs or work at walmart?
We might write these verses just in passing
But the message we send is long-lasting
You don't know it but your younger siblings wanna be you
They look up to you, they think thats what i wanna be too
You're their hero whether you realize it or not
Do you want them growing up - only to get shot?
The kids should write raps too, cuz thats what big bro's do
They write about guns and gangs instead of winnie the pooh
The life that we describe, that shows no remorse
We teach them to get through life by force
Parents divorced, that could be the source
The kids have no guidance, and they choose the wrong course
Whatever the reason, this game is still freezin'
The hate makes this so cold, we need a change of season
Why do we hate? why is it injected in every flow?
Why is it a show to hate people we don't even know?
We write verses, without caring who gets offended
Younger kids with confused minds get apprehended
It appears that what we write is heard by deaf ears
But they hear...... and it hangs with them for years
High speed chase, ending in a dead body in a case
A violent life ends with a mothers tears... running down her face
We need to change this game, change it's name
Make the world proud of what it's became
We write bullshit verses that dont do nothin'
We need to teach our children to pursue somethin'
To do somethin', we as a whole need to undo somethin'
Stop teachin our boys that they need screw somethin'
Teach em' to go out and learn, so they can say they knew somethin'
Make their mom and dad proud they turned into somethin'
So i ask again what message are we sending?
Is society wrapped around all of us contending?
I fear this will go on until our time here is ending
The decision on all of that is still pending...
