New York: definition (what are we, in highschool again beating on lockers) the type of "freestyle" you are referring to, is a thing of the past...and mainly used for individuals that's interested in rapping and getting use to hearing their own voice, and perfecting their delivery.

What do you think battle rappers mean when they say 'I got bars'? Not I got 'duhr' or 'I got guesses'

Freestyles: Is culmination of all that you've ever created and thrown away, piecing together what works and what doesn't on the spot, what fits and what doesn't, while at the same time plugging in your rebuttals. While you are listening to your opponent get his verse off. If you don't write enough to be able to do this, something is seriously wrong. It's all preconceived happening, and you are delusional if you think battle rappers or chyphers come up with their material on the spot. It's a difference between freestyling and reading, you can tell the difference...when its robotic.

The ability to remember bars that you've created and patch them, is what make it a "freestyle"...a snowboarder at the X games doesn't go barrelling down a mountain without understand the terrain, knowing what moves he's going to perform in advance. These moves he's practiced for years, such as the battle rapper does...so what he did wasn't a freestyle, because he didn't fall on his face to your liking?

Walk up to any battle rapper, and ask them if they have bars...they'll tell you hell yes, I got bars...and to honest, when you write so much...it's difficult not to already have 'safe multis', already in your head...these 'multis' give you time to think about what you are going to say next.
