Written cypher was asked but placed as a freestyle battle, a new member mistake that's understable, both need work. I'm glad to see Dope goin at the freestyles now too instead of just written scripts, versatility is good. Sense this is a cypher vs freestyle its really no debate, so i'll just pitch in the fact that one should try spittin a bit slower to start with, and keep trying to think of his next line as he begins the current one. Potential is not something categorized, everyone has it. a tip would be to think of a 'safe' line. For example, if you begin to go blank in the mind, and your last bar was about shooting, throw in a 'pow pow' to give youself a extra second to think of a rhyme for pow, which is quite easy to do. keep grindin, stay up. Neither brought anything good (no offense) I think it was the beat for a BATTLE (this should be a Cypher beat anyway)...My winner was not repetitive like my "loser", but he just brought "more" so I had no choice but to vote for him. I don't know, maybe it's the beat or something but I ain't really feeling no momentum in both verses tbh. First MC had some good flow and did pretty good for a freestyle going with the beat and all but was talking about random things and not dissing the opponent..... the other guy had a verse which almost sounded like a freestyle too at the beginning but picked up toward the middle. he's got better multies which saved him. Also more aggressive making it more like a battle verse. I like to see another battle and like to see what the loser can do when he get aggressive and laying punches... for this one it's clear though... fairs in. Voted: alexGnome / The Dope Man
