Shodan seemed to be treading that fine line between BATS and utter fire. In the end I don't think it mattered which side of it he came down on because the scheming, clean execution (even of some batty concepts) and consistent cogence put him ahead of Nme here. I think Nme was very unlucky because they threw some really solid punches including the closer, the wolf/pack one and the Doctor Sleep one. However, a lot of the other content felt like filler a little, and the concepts weren't delivered at a complex enough level to compete with this level of execution.

IamTheNme came with it here & was consistent in his lines, Shodans bars where not that hard hitting to the opponent in my opinion.

i can see why sho posted this in the open that wordplay in the closer was nothing short of a reach tbh. Infact a reach is short from it ! lol anyways the first two lines we pretty good while NME i loved the doctor sleep reference but the rest of ur lines did not match up to that level which cost u this battle man.

Overall, Shodan had a great scheme, proved even further by the fact that he had 7 Multi's keeping the same scheme. The scheme itself was complex, averaging 6 syllables per multi, with no broken multi's. The multi's also had a lot of words that nearly rhyme 100% as well.

On the other side of the same coin, Iam had very poor scheming on his end, having decent schemes. However the problem itself was the multi's you made for them. They were often broken both rhyme and syllable wise, which creates a choppy verse with a  horrible flow. Some multi's like the "whole world" would've been counted as unbroken hadn't you capped the word whole, and if I wasn't voting I would assume that it's just a mistake, but you also did it 2 more times in the battle with the Beam and Lie scheme. This tells me that you didn't  really know what you were doing when you made the multi's.

As for the bars themselves

Shodan you had 2  strong bars in the first part of your battle (with the opener being the best.), but your last bar I didn't f/w. It was stretched too long, clunky, and the end wordplay and punch fell flat. On top of the that, the last multi you used was unnatural, as you used the word of twice, sandwiching the word brands. The concept itself was also a bit poor , and not worded well (DM me if I'm missing something.). As a verse? The concepts were mostly solid but the execution and structuring on an all but the last bar were great.

Iam, you had multiple good concepts in your verse that were brought down by poor execution and bad structure. Had you have cleaned up your bars, improved your set-ups, and cleaned up the multi's, you would have solid punches. But in reality, a concept is nothing if there's no set-ups to back it, the bar is clunky, and the rhyming is off. Your set-ups had a different scheme from the punchline which made it hit much softer, even though they connected well. Your logical flow, and logic,  period, also weren't up to snuff. For example, you say "stance" when referring to him sleeping and being dead. A stance is a form of standing, which makes the entire bar confusing. You also say he has the whole world in his hands, which is a good thing to say to somebody. How does that connect to kumbaya or you killing him? It just makes no sense.
