KILLERS. We're WAY too basic.

I was recently in Rieper's crew but I'm voting on this anyway to get it closed because its been over a week since it should have.

I feel like this is an impossible concept to give ratings to so I'm just gonna dime it cos I enjoyed reading these a lot several times through. In the end I have Rieper winning this by an incredibly narrow margin. It's difficult to explain why, especially with such a unique concept, but I think he just stuck to ideas that were more basic but still executed at what seemed like a high level. I'm also ashamed to admit I almost used one of his concepts in a very serious battle a few weeks ago. Edge I just thought had (marginally) more advanced concepts here and more basic execution. Given that the concept is basic punchlines, and that I felt Rieper's fantastically executed but abysmally basic approach was funnier than Edge's bad execution and very weak concepts, I have Riep Edging this one, despite Edge's broken ruler bar being my favourite of the battle. Adlibs from both were great as well btw.

a lot of these basic punchlines were pretty good so i really dunno what u mean by basic unless you meant the played out ones coz in that case ripe had the tennis, laundry and microwave shit while the razor bit was fucking nice lol while other than the ruler bit i thought everything from edge was hella basic and more apt for the win here lol

This basic punch concept y'all doing is hilarious. Both were good verses but my winners syllables matched better. Gb
