GL Shodan!

The only stuff I can think of that might not be reasonably self explanatory is:

Rai and Manhattan recently lost the tag tournament final, and a major factor in this was that they decided to use a scheme through their verse when they really didn't need to.

In the film Pet Sematary there's a cat that gets buried, and a kid that comes back from the dead to bite someone.

RULE recently requested to battle CAIN in this LBT card but it was exposed that that was his own multi

Alright title bidness lets take a look. Kiwi: ER bar was crackyyyyy. really good. Coming back for 2nds was dope. Ruiz bar dope too. Cain was good too lol. Shodan: DJ Mix was a nice concept. Under Armour was tight. Repo bar was dope. Overall: Man this is hard to call. I feel like Kiwi had the highest peak with the Hard ER concept. That was super good. Kiwi had a slow start, as did Shodan imo. And while Shodan has some wordplay i had to read a few times to catch, and some that didnt work at all in my accent (pause-ability / Possibility), i think sho's 2nd half was just constant pressure. If you cut both verses down to 16 of eachs best, Kiwi would take this i'd say. But for the 32 Shodan was just more consistant imo. Dope battle, and Kiwi has really arrived as a strong tier battler imo. 8-8 with Shodan edging my vote. 1/

Good title bout here but I got KP taking this one. I feel his personal shots and the level in which he was throwing them was just impressive from beginning to end. This would've won quite a few matches against former LBT champs, so be proud of your work here. Sho had a solid performance, but was a bit underwhelming compared to what I've grown to expect from him, as I feel conceptually he was not up to par in areas in which he would normally be sharper. I'm not sure if he took Kiwi lightly or if it was the GC, but it definitely cost him here. A Sho at 100% could've stood toe-to-toe with this and possibly beaten this, but not this time. Congrats to whoever wins this one. Great battle. Fair's in.

Had to read this a few times. Kiwi started out strong. The tag and pet cemetery lines were good hits, well set up. The ER concept was worded strangely and the spiral thing was just meh. The 2nds punch hit hard and was well set up. Could have worked even better if the Ruiz punch set it up instead of the other way around. Tail between his legs needed better wording. LB informer was ok but Naruto running was dope. Bleach line hit ok then ya kinda fell off. That closer was a long winded setup to get to a punch that didn't have the oomph it should have to close out a title match. Shodans first punch was ok but without the expo it's kind of obscure. The next set was well written, nice jab in the middle, grooves play was nice but the wording of the end multi was clunky and kinda took away from what was otherwise solid. The next two punches were fire though, especially the Wall punch which I thought was BOTB. Unfortunately good sport where and I steal drop were pretty much the biggest reaches, came back to back and immediately followed the best bar. Remote pausability and card he beyond were meh, fat concept for soap bar was new to me and I liked it but asphalt play was another reach. Next four punches were all well executed...no haymakers like the wall punch but not bad. Closer to this verse was also long winded and fizzled out.

Really close battle. I feel like Shodan took more creative risks here but that can at times be a hit or miss approach as we saw here. High highs and low lows. Kiwi wasn't as outside the box but he was definitely more personal despite maybe going a little too long with fat jokes. His verse had some good hits and aside from a stretch at the end, he was more consistently hitting throughout so I've gotta lean that way.

I was gonna give this a super long bar to bar breakdown but my reasons for Kiwi winning this are quite simple. They are here below and not neccesarily in order of importance, just in order of how I thought about it.

For one, kiwi had the smoother rhyming. In that, I never had to pause when reading his verse to try and figure out how to make the Multis work. The same wasn't true for Shodan, namely the whole kings inheritance scheme I really could never quite get to go.

I also think both had equally good highs, and roughly the same amount of them. However, Shodans lows were really, REALLY bad in that he used really reachy WP. Kiwis lows were still very cleanly written bars, but just lower impact punches, per se. For that reason, Kiwi punched better overall and was more consistent.

finally, I also think Kiwi had a more personal flavour to his verse while still being creative and original whereas Shodan didn't quite have as much of that. Brownie points, kind of a cherry on top.

Going with slightly higher ratings than I usually might with 10-8 here because they were 32s which i respect are very tough. Kiwi gets a 10 for writing an entire 32 of extremely clean and solid-to-great punches. A feat that only maybe a handful of people on this site could accomplish.

Fairs in, thanks for the read.

Got kiwi taking this. Personal angles were landing and I was feeling some of his punches. Shodan had some good punches as well but relied on a lot of wordplay that wasnt always making an impact on me. Pause ability and possibility seems amateurish for example.

Solid battle here. Both had some interesting angles. I felt that Kiwi's personals were his highlight, but, that they coud have been executed in a better way from a set up standpoint. Shodan had some strong concepts throughout, but, I felt he struggled with the honetics of his wordplay in some cases. B on/beyonD, and ass fall down, asphalT down as some examples. But, I think Shodan got this with the cleaner execution and better set ups, which aided the impact of his punches.

I've never seen this kiwi guy but his barz were pretty legit and a lot of direct references to his opponent. Opening bar was good- complex and little obscure at first but second read got me. Noticed a rhyming issue with the war huh? Part- and the ending sounded unnatural with the rhyme scheme but overall flow was dope, no real stressing in the continual flow and the punches were good. Best bar was the must feel ashamed bar (I like simple quick punches with complexity). Low 8

ive seen better outta sho. Maybe the 32s aren't his thing as he seemed to struggle with finding hard hitting barz. His opponent called him on the gun barz and perhaps negated some of the impact by doing so although his rifle bar- though long winded, was a hit for me. First read I was missing the flow because his syllables were all over the place and the monster he put together in the beginning didn't have the readability to back it. Second read I switched up and it came out better for me. Rhyming was good toward the end but punches got weaker as the verse ended. This tho- Drops ain't be dope- pop radio, I steal drop... okay. Coming from a guy who deducts points from battlers for this kind of rhyming I'm surprised he did it himself. A Couple bad stretches in his wordplay kind topped it for me. My opinion is that kiwi barely got past him with a more readable and direct verse.

Good read here. Kiwi: Your concepts were pretty solid. Punches were good too, i feel however you used the same concept a bit too much, the 'he's fat/overweight'... other than that however, i don't have anything bad to say about your piece. The virgin bar/puncline fell flat for me, the set up had me feeling like there was going to be another nice punch, and i get it and it's creative but personally it didn't hit, imo. Duo Lingo bar was nice. Overall: a pretty solid drop, few pieces seemed to fall flat but for the majority, you had good solid punches and a smooth flow throughout. Good stuff. Shodan: Opener was pretty solid. Line after that though, the wording was awkward: "like why kings demand all their inheritence" also dosen't make sense, comes across as this was put there just for the sake of the rhyme rather than have any actual impact.  Japan flag ish is played. Iced Tea'll Drop was a nice and smooth wp, good shit. The Cardi B punchline was nice however the set up multi set is awkward/forced/doesn't seem natural. Overall: some nice concepts in their mixed with one or two played ones. Some awkward wording too. wp's were smooth, nothing major but certainly made for good bars. Was a bit too much space between some multi sets. Still, a pretty solid drop overall. Overall battle: this is certainly an entertaining read on both ends. Some pretty clever concepts on both sides, both with their errors here and there but they're far and few between. Props to both. Leaning towards Kiwi as i feel he had an overall smoother flowing piece than Sho's. Battles a coin toss really, good luck to whoever wins.

Kiwi: not gonna lie the idea was a bit of a stretch... also Me and Rai beat Sho in the tag final a couple months ago, wished you went for that angle. lol i'll count it as an ok ish punch. that pet semetary bar was dope along with the ER. the Ruiz punch was ok but a bit too long for the impact if left. points for contiuing the fat angle tho. suit punch was a bit confusing tbh. dont get it. the magazine line was good along and the anime bars I liked but if someone says they're played they'd most likely be right. The "duo lingo" bar was just a bit bad and awkwardly worded. I actually liked the closer but the setup wasn't worded right. You set him up saying he's a crack head but at the end it seemed like you said he was pretending to take it instead? Overall

Sho: really dug your opener personally as an army guy myself. lol honesly didn't get 'COVER ART OF THE WALL' punch. a bit lost on me. The Japan punches wording was a bit weird but clear. The Grooves punch was pretty clean imo. I'm not gonna lie... that Good sportwear punch was kinda bad, setup, wording... just wasn't on your caliber. The i steal bar was awkward and a bit forced. The remote was close to the same in the sense that it involves putting more stress on one of the syllables pronunciaiton but I'll give it a pass because it sounds good enough. Remote  wp are used but the pause ability wp with it is fresh. the cardi b wp is again super close to that realm too and to be honest i didn't dig the overall idea too much either (be on/beyonD... D can get in the way). The asphalt wp again falls into the same realm (ass fall/asphalT). The printer punch i dug! The closing bars were ok. Overall in this verse the wp is arguably shaky with meh ideas but when you stepped back from wp your ideas became better ranging from decent to good.

Both had some iffy moments but my winner here won because he had less of them in my opinion and his cleaner moments spoke to me more. Good bout guys and congrats to whoever pulls this one out.
