Both were light on the punches here but Determinator was a bit more structured here and cleaner where as Pine felt a bit too basic in comparison.

Pretty poor battle here, from both sides. Wording and execution of concepts is seriously lacking. On one side the basics of writing is seriously lacking. Feel one edge this by having a somewhat more coherent and readable piece in comparison to the others. Both need to focus. 100 - Respect Tha Dons vote. 

Determinator, you have a seemingly moderate grasp of the fundamentals, but there were some awkward missteps in some of your execution. For example, your rhyming is a bit strange, in that the multi-syllabics aren't necessarily always relative to the conceptual idea on which you're building. In conjunction to that, the phrasing is a bit of a stretch, in that you're clearly placing words there just for the sake of the syllable count, and not taking into consideration how naturally it sounds from a phonetic perspective, or a perspective of spoken language. When I read a verse, it should sound as if someone would naturally say these things aloud in a conversation. There was also an instance in which the syllable counts didn't match. Your wordplay struggles with the same issues as your multis in some regards. In that it doesn't work both ways, making it seem unnatural and detracting from its meaning. Pineapple, work on the basics, man. You've got potential, but I need to see the incorporation of stronger conceptual ideas, and the use of punchlines throughout. Got my winner based on a better understanding of the basics.
