CLASSICK u BASTIDS!!!

This was a good one to vote on, I was feeling a lot of the bars in this battle but I think at the end of the day REZN's execution was really clean and interesting while Rican's was held back a lot by silly mistakes. I also felt REZN had more of the highlight-concepts for me.

REZN I thought your "sneaking in on grandmas" bar was one of your weakest. The cadence of the two multis was completely different from what I could see which made it seem quite disjointed. I also didn't fully know how the set-up properly worked both ways here; if it does and I've missed it maybe try to simplify things a little bit to make sure everyone can get your bars on the first read. I really liked your "blind 8" punch, the opener was nice, and your "DQ'd from his own relationships" one made me chuckle.

Rican I thought your opener was really solid, but your next scheme was off to me. "rant/hand/band/bob/bad", to me "bob" really doesn't work at all in that scheme and I just can't think of an accent where it does. It threw your whole bar out, plus the "going downhill faster than a sled" idea is quite played, there's a Coffin Dodger bar that's directly about Rant that goes along that line. "I'm the most impacting humdinger" really isn't something I can ever imagine hearing outside of a Danny Tanner verse tbh. I guess it makes sense but it's just not something people would say. It was problems like these, throughout your verse, that I thought really cost you here. That being said, I thought your concept for the Thunberg/Trump punch was absolute fucking dope, and it was executed well enough (although you have to really butcher the correct pronunciation of Thunberg to make it happen). Closer was nice as well.

FV In.... Both did well, seen better from both also. it's FORCED, AS USUAL now he's 'on the same 'boat, going down in flames': no NORSE FUNERALS! - Tha's what won it "IMO"... 

Close battle imo. Felt both had some interesting concepts. Both had some ups and downs but both had more ups than down. Felt one was more conceptually clever than the other. Had higher highs but lower lows. Really liked rants deep web & recycling bin references. Wasn't feelin the closer that much tho. Rican, I liked the bobsledders & the Norse funeral lines but I also wasn't feeling your closer. Overall I think both were edging eachother in most categories. I feel one did win this by a more consistent verse and being more conceptually on point. Feel it could go either way tho. Good battle gents. 

Decent battle here I enjoyed both verses but my vote goes to the more clever bars here. keep it up fellas

REZN - Solid consistent verse, no issues technically as far as I can see. Plenty of humorous bars in there I got a chuckle out of. My favorites were the pajamas & DQ in relationships punches. The italy/stalin/russian bar was cool. I do feel it's easy against Rican to get caught up being stuck on the cheating/lying/shady personals against him. But overall I dig the verse, good showing. 

Rican - fall off*, another solid verse. I thought the opening and closing punches were fire. Bobsledders fell flat for me for both the punch and wording, I also thought the wild n out taker line was a little flat as well, line was cool but the punch value was lacking. Also, now that I am reading this verse I dislike that the bar was posted in the forums with the 'biting accusation'. I mean I understood where reiper was coming from, but now reading it outside of his thread I can definitely see where it can cause some sway for other voters. That type of stuff should be pm'd privately to staff or posted after the battle is complete at least I think so. 

Overall - Back to the battle at hand, I had to reread it over. Thought it was fairly close. REZN was more consistent on a hit/miss basis, but the punches that hit for me with Rican I definitely thought were a bit stronger.

Read through once. Gunna come back in a bit with more time. Seemed close. This verse doesn't feel like rican to me but somewhere in the middle it started to.

REZN - You had decent exection throughout, it all flowed alright but imo nothing hit too hard. Basic concepts w decent delivery. I think you'd be better off tryna put a little more creativity in your bars, at a consistent level. 

Rican - The problem I had w your verse, especially after reading REZN's is the wording in some areas & the off multis. I think you could clean it up & it'd go a long way for ya. Other than that, I'd say you had the edge on him concept wise & had stronger punches all together. 

Close battle & had to read a few times, could go either way but I got one edging it. Votes in. 

At first when reading rican's verse I was thinking he would lose. But he went off on the last part of his verse. The bring a chopper to the ring line was tight af... then the norse funerals won it by that point, the rest was good too.

Leaning REZN on this one. Rican has put together some good lines here but they feel very generic as far as who they could go against for the most part. REZN stuck with personals for the most part and I always like that in a battle box.

Nice battle here. Definitely give this one to my winner. After a couple reads, winner was a lot more direct, had more impressive rhyming and just hits harder. As far as punches go, the loser's bobsledding line has been done by Coffin Dodger before and the following "humdinger/gunslinger" line is questionable at best. Chopper/taker line was actually pretty good. However, I'm not the biggest fan of the color setups, either. Winner had much cleaner, more clever setups and well executed flips on them. Winner had better rhyming as well and more impressive schemes. Loser rhymes well but started out weaker than this opponent. Winner also had more inner rhymes and a better flow to his verse.

good battle here pretty close too a little too close in areas for comfort both had a few bomb and dull moments which were pretty evenly spread out i got rican just edgeing this by a very small margin coz of the punches towards the end of his verse where inspite of the clever wordplays i think REZN was a little low comparatively.

That was a close call. But the swings seemed a bit hard from one. As well as, one had to heat up, it seemed. While my W was lookin for it since the beginning. GB fv

Great battle, i had to read this a few times as i honestly liked both 16s almost exactly as much both dope, im going to go with rezn just because i felt his 16 read a little bit smoother and flowed nice, with that said i could have given it either way i liked the band members hand gesdtures line from rican and some of his punchs were super sharp but going with the man rezn on this one, not hate g8 battle fv

For starters, I thought REZN's opener was really clever. One aspect of his verse that I find myself displeased over is his lack of set ups. We could blame this on his formatting whereas he failed to punctuate some of his noticeable metaphors, like the line with "His flow is basic" He just gets right to the punchline for the most part from what I've observed at least. There are some noticeable set-ups, however. I believe the middle of his verse was his main highlighter, however, as his execution from within this part of the verse was unlike anything I can recall him writing compared to what he usually exemplifies. His Cheating / Hickey bar was fucking fire and hit really hard IMO. The beginning of the next line looks really cool as the way he styled it contributed more towards his overall execution. "Beam's out, dialed in. Your whole style is recycle bin" and the bar to go with this was also very well thought-out. The closer was definitely dope as fuck too with the cunning wordplay as well as the heavy-hitting personal to go with it.

Overall the way Rican set up his verse was a lot better as the formatting made things easier for me to interpret, although despite my difficulty with understanding REZN's verse I was still able to make out the gist of it especially with the expo he IM'd me. As far as multi-syllable incorporation goes both of these emcees are pretty much at par except for Rican's Greta Thumberg line which was honestly fire. He also had some great personals on REZN as well that hit very hard. Although despite his setups & multi's I'll have to hand this one to REZN for having punches that hit harder even despite the setups, as well as overall wittiness and his Italy wordplay at the end was also really well thought out compared to the responder's. 

I can truly see this going both ways you guys. Good luck yo!
