Ok lemme hit yall. Rican: Very very bold move to go for a themed / conceptual verse in a battle like this. At first i thought it was the wrong move but you kinda got me on board mid way through. Im kinda torn tho cuz it was essentially just you talking about losses he's had, rather than just being a loss he gets if that makes sense? The Faction bars was highlight for me. After two reads of the verse im still unsure how i feel. Obviously i have experience with this type of verse, my Rob of LB Textcee & ABC Murders cyphers, so i know what goes into writing this type of verse. tbh i wasnt expecting this which i guess makes it a good thing. Erupt: Went the traditional route here, you can tell there is some rust there, the concepts and punches went from good to pretty basic to be honest. Thought the commuters concept had potential but wasnt executed that strongly, in fact most of the first half up to the slow jamz bar was pretty basic in my eyes, dont get me wrong a strong 7 up to that point but from Erupt? I expected more. However after this point i felt you starting to get rolling and the concepts and punches got more and more impressive. I think the get-with the program punch was my fave, real sleeper hit there, that was dope. Sight for sore eyes was a tight personal, @ symbol bar hella played, plam reading was a real nice spin in that concept. The closer actually might be bar of the verse for you, wordplay was perfect for my ears. Overall: Mannnnnn this is a tough ass choice. Got both at 8's for the rate, i kinda felt about both verses the same way, first half i wasnt really feeling it then second half you both either sold me on the gimmick (Rican) or shook off the rust and started dropping bombs (Erupt). Man. Gut says one edged this. This could go either way tho for real. Dope battle. 1/

Low to med 9s. This was a good read from both and it sucks that someone has to lose. So many quotables from both. Rican--there's really not much to knit pick at. I think my only criticism would be there were times that the punches didn't appeal to me as a reader, meaning I didn't feel the impact/pop but those were few and far between. I overall enjoyed the whole verse. I really enjoyed the tennis coach line. I thought that was fresh. 

erupt- same goes for you. Really nothing to knit pick at. My only criticism from your verse would be one too many personals but they still had some impact. Most of your punches were pretty unique and/or fresh. The middle child & palm reading lines were dope. 

overall I think this was super close. I expect to see votes for both sides before it closes. My vote goes to who was more consistent with the punch impact & fresher/unique bars. Good shit from both & good luck to both. 

yiiiiiiiiiight, so ive read this a few times. pretty good pairing. i have my winner edging this with a better constructed verse, bar in and bar out his punches were more peronal, heavier and fresher. my loser lost me with alot of concepts thats been visited before. his verse read smoothly but didn hold momentum well. i will say, he had maybe tha dopest overall concept of tha battle, but tha rest of tha verse wasnt on par. all in all, good battle between two good names. thanks for tha read. #KINGVOTE

They are both really good however Erupt is just really good that I got to give it to him But lemme say that both of you are really good

If I'm being honest, I thought there were some pretty big flaws with both verses. Rican, the attempt at theming the verse off of Erupt's loss record really fell flat to me. It hindered what is probably one of your strongest aspects of writing, by limiting your conceptual basis. And I wasn't really impressed by any of the concepts you did bring to table in regard to it. And while it does personalize the verse to an extent, focusing the entirety of the verse on those aspects made it feel incredibly one dimensional to me. Especially considering you could have referenced all, or most of those things in a single bar. There was also some really forced wordplay here to me, in part. Like the use of fraction as a verb, opposed to a noun. Erupts, a lot of your verse didn't really feel directed at your opponent, aside from the small section regarding his appearance. A lot of what you said was centered around what you would do, or yourself in some aspect, without focusing those ideas specifically onto your opponent. Some of your set ups seemed to just be placeholders, too. Without much relevance to your conceptual idea from which you deriving your punch. There were some problems with your own wordplay as well. For example, what does "Ric a shade off" mean in relation to the bar that it was a part of? I get the second meaning of ricocheted, and that works. But, the phrase "Ric a shade off" seems really unnatural to me. This is a really tough battle to judge to me, because you guys are heavyweights, and I expected heavyweight material. But, there were some really novice mistakes here. That said, I'm going to go with the person who I felt brought concepts, and ideas that were somewhat more impressive to me in their creativity.

This was a seriously dope battle here, gents. I’m going to keep expon short due to so many  quoteables and the battle being so large. Both had nice concepts that they executed well. Personally I feel one took this my constantly hitting his opponent compared to the others longer build ups. Fairs in, I’m out. Thanks for the enjoyable read.

So I would say creative consistency.. Which is pretty hard to do all the way thru... And Rican got caught in multies instead metas in some bars which is easier than creating Metas...

I just feel like erupt had more hard hits... He was a tad bit more technical with his metaphors and just kept coming with them.

this a pretty great battle imo.

rican's concept with the losses was pretty strong, but it took up so much the verse, that it began to fall off towards the end for me. nonetheless, i enjoyed the verse. the highlights being "evading the question" and the "never been whole" lines for me.

erupt's bars, although not part of a grander scheme like rican's, worked perfectly as standalone concepts coupled with the personal sting he provided in most of them. notable moments include: the "visine" bar, the "butterfly" bar, the "palm reading" line. 

i'm gonna pick erupt over rican in this one. rican started a little stronger, but erupt's momentum and wordplay in the ending edged this one for me.

This battle here was legit fire, both came in w/ alot of punches amd executions, both had wicked flow and great use of multis, they both covered everything needed to secure the W, was a tough choice IMO, I loved the creativity from both but I had to edge more toward my winner due to his punches seemed more creative than that of his opp, and definitely dig the "Rick and Morty" bit as I'm a fan of the show lol

Impression work here from the both of you, but i'ma breaking down a few things about your verses from my point of view.

Rican- I noticed your verse is focused around his loses which kinda confines you. I seen many people take this route, but the way you put it together was fairly decent. Now moving on... Your opening bar. That shit was fresh af but then you follow through with :

" I'll knock the 'hell out' him with the same WRATH, SATAN'S GOT with his 'standard: weak drive' "

Personally i didn't like the bar cuz you jump from Satan, to talking about Gas Stations Stocks....kinda weird read for me in my opinion. Plus the whole gas station concept is played out. Moving on.... Next 2 lines are decent punches but nothing to wowing... Ok this: If this 'phobia' current problem <---

i'm thinking this is a typo but it fucks up the read, but besides that. This was your best bar of the battle. This had that wow factor and was executed properly, plus your following bar was nice as well. It was a little wordy but still conncected. Moving on.... Next bar was mmmeehh but then you start to pick momentum again and ended fairly strong and kept punching till the end.... Dope verse bro. I'd shoot you a high 8

Erupt: Your first 3 bars were meehh imo, i have heard alot of computer coding bars also so that fell flat....Now your next bars are clean af. I like the imagery and wordplay that leads to the rick n morty punch...Dope shit playa! BUT THEN you keep hitting em with some straight heat until here:

This was mmeehh imo but once again you picked up where you left off and kept with the haymakers.

Overall, Erupt, your opener was weak but you picked up momentum and kept with the haymakers till the end. As for Rican, your verse was solid af but you had some wording issues. Great battle here fellas..FV

Rican: Liked how you incorperated all of Erupts losses, i fw the evading the question,edibles line,and the meet& greet and tennis coach lines. Real solid verse all around, prob the best i seen from you. Erupt: Your bars were either hit or miss, the ones that missed were too simple imo for a tourney battle, but the ones that landed were haymaykers and were def more creative than most of ricans

But..after 3-4 reads gonna give the slight edge to Rican for the being more consistant.

Both did really well, but personally, I think that Erupt takes the win in all categories. Erupt had less stretched multi's compared to Rican, and his punchlines were more clean,concise, and hard hitting.

Have to go with erupt. Honestly really hard to vote on this, it’s super long and each had there high points and low. Basically it was pretty much even to me throughout the whole verse except I think one starting off stronger, fresher, more co nfident w/e you wanna call it in the opening 3 punches. Computer coding, Rick and morty and butterfly lines were all structured really nicely in the setups giving the haymaker affect and gave an immediate edge on their verse. So with two battlers being so evenly matched first impressions everything because the difference in flow, multi’s and punchlines is sometimes too hard to call. Great read. Good battle guys. Fairs in.

Wow, that was fire from both for sure. I'm gonna have to fork this over to E for his smooth multies and smooth setups. The punches were damning. Both had great creativity. Both have something I strive to obtain, but in the end one won out. 

This bars killed it son.

the winner took this one with better and harder hitting punches for me. A lotta filler in rican's stuff in my opinion, though it's totally possible I missed some things, novel concept though.
