This was a blowout tbh. As I expected. One was leagues ahead in terms of concept creativity and bringing consistant personal punch after personal punch. Had my vote just off these sets of lines...

Papi came in swinging but starting off with such a low syllable count was a bad move, you should know better. Seen  much better from you,  and nothing really stood out and grabbed my attention.  Lock takes this easily.

Rican, you had some fire concepts and ideas, and some were executed well. Best bars from your side imo were the URL concept, RICK JAMES, GENDER REVEAL. Those are the ones I felt were the most creative and unexpected. One thing I will note is that your schemes here were kinda elementary in nature, a lot of them were 2-3 syllables. This isn't why I voted the way I did, but just noting. Some examples of the weaker bars imo from your side - I would've liked to see a better setup and delivery for the salt bae. I think another metaphor like 'worth your salt' could've been better. Dr Scholl's bar wasn't it either. I didn't have a problem with most of the other bars, just found them around average and didn't have a wow factor.

Lock, as mentioned above you schemed better. You took a risk with the first bar, as it is an unconventional approach, (the mocking) but I thought it landed very well. My favorite bars from your side were the Illokwent line, G.O.D., and The Jungle.

I felt that both of you had an equal, or close amount of haymakers.

Part of my expo got cut off - I voted the way I did due to consistency. When comparing the bars that weren't haymakers on both sides, one I felt was way more consistent

this was an amazing battle, however I beleive Rican had the upper hand. I did like how Jimmy started with 'hoe-kay', judging from Ricans past batttles thats how he started-Ricans punchlines were a bit harder than Jimmys.

Overall this was a very strong battle from both. My vote is going to the guy who had some stronger executed concepts. My Loser had alot of good concepts, but some of the rhyme scheme wasn't connecting because it was so slanted that it just doesnt have the same effect. Also that 'in da skies' wordplay is like 12 years old.

That was a dope battle. Great reads. 

Rican-had a great flow. A great read. His last line where he used a multie with no other multie indicated killed the big finale of it, overall the punches were good but not as severe as his opponents. 

Hoffa-good read. At times was not as smooth a read as ricans. But the punches were very savage and well thought out and aimed. Fairs in gentlemen. GB

This is a tough battle to call. Both had some highlights, and some things that didn't work for me. Rican, the redundancy in the ice cream bar was pretty cringe worthy, and it was a really slow start to begin with. You're a longstanding vet, and I expect a lot more than 2-3 syllable rhyming throughout the ENTIRETY of the verse. Some of your wording, also was a little unnatural to me in places as a reader. Mostly because of how longwinded the phrasing was. And things like "History deal," because what even is that? Conceptually, and referentially some of what you brought to the table was outstanding, though. Jimmy, man, you gotta dead the weird, fake personals man. Lol. They just never read as believable, and if they aren't believable, or provably real, then there's no impact, and it's a wasted idea. The biting personals were probably your best bars throughout the battle, along with the up in smoke line. But, some of your phrasing was also unnatural to me as a reader. One instance in particular, in the redundancy of show in the set up to the up in smoke line. Another in the use of some awkward references, like muggles. Overall this was a lot closer than I had initially thought. But, I think ones highs were higher. 

Good battle here but one took this with more complexity and heavier punches. I also like the personal approach he took with the mix of wordplay. This gave his lines more of that wow factor. Now as for my loser, I think he needs to step up his multi game. Plus, there was some lines I read, that i've somewhat heard from other URL rappers. Maybe not exactly word for word, but it tends to weaken the punchline because its similiar to what they had said already. Math hoffa lines are played imo, but i know why he used it. Although, he did have some lines that stuck out : GENDER REVEAL BAR, RIC JAMES BAR, PROVEN FEATS BAR

Okay, this was an incredible display of skill from both...10/10, without a doubt...reminds me of the rennaissance days on the site...super close, Ricans WP is pretty damn sharp, more than impressive...but, Jimmy's personals were brutal, unrelenting and merciless...found myself thinking: "damn, did he really just say that"? and because I'm really familiar with the history of both, made it more impactful... otherwise, Rican would have pulled away with this...very difficult battle to judge. This was a very entertaining read...from start to finish, and both deserve the credit...but Jimmy really shifted to another gear towards the closing part of his verse, very disrespectful...but that's battle rap. Overall: I had my initial expectations before reading, and it surpassed it...this was more than dope on all levels...I'll save the breakdown for others...but Rican and Jimmy both know where my mind is at on this one. DOPE DOPE DOPE!

Rican, you've got some technical flaws right away. You use the word top then two words later say topping. Don't repeat the word. Same with crossing ways / crossing paths which are used one line apart and are both on the multi.

Your 2nd and 3rd line are literally just simply nameplay on shit to do with Smack? So what? Why would that hurt Lock?

Your own nameplay doesn't work. Rican is pronounced Reekan, not Rickan, so Rick James would be Reek James.

Jimmy, started off with some okay punches but sort of lame for a battle this level. The "you're an alcoholic" and "ill kidnap your sister" stuff doesn't really account for anything real. However your entire middle had some really good personals whih were well thought out. Dippes off again at the end with what I felt was two overly obscure references.

To me both were mostly on par for the most part, and the only difference was how many times did each one mess up or go lower than the bar they set for themselves or is expected out of them so i went on with cancelling out the bad lines from each verse and then seeing which one had the more better lines. but that didnt work either so i post re re rating the best lines from both verses where in rican had a da feet bar while surprisingly enough jimmy had two played concepts too o felt even though Rican had the higher number of successful bars (5 comparedto jimmy's 4) i felt hoffa had wo of the BOTBs for me with his closer and toothfairy lines followed by Rican's smack flips both of them and then hoffa's hispanics and dough bit and rican's beer helmet bit.
