Didn't particularly care for this battle, as I felt that both really didn't bring their A-game here and had flaws in their verses that dragged their verses down a bit. Phe I feel like your biggest issue is unnatural wording at times. Shit like "You're inches away from being a bitch" is clearly a reach in terms of wording to connect the whole measure/ruler/animal/vet concept you had going. That's just unnatural wording for a concept that was rather unspectacular. "Lemme paint ya twig" is another instance of unnatural wording. Who says "lemme paint ya twig"? That's clearly just you reaching with your wording to try to connect it to the concept you're using, which makes it sound even worse than if you had just used a regular phrase that didn't connect to it as much. In your future battles, go for more natural wording instead of trying to force everything together just to make it all relevant to the end concept.

Sal I gotta say I was pretty disappointed to see you forcing a wordplay pretty badly in your first line (Blast Phe? Me doesn't sound like blasphemy at all because the Phe in his name doesn't sound like "Fee", it sounds like "Fuh"), it also doesn't work both ways grammatically (Who gonna blasphemy? You can do better than that in regards to wording). The punchline you did use with the soul/sole wordplay is incredibly played out at this point, so it didn't really do any sort of damage. The whole bike-chain/lock jab was ok, but the next line with the 2 O's is essentially just as bad as the ROUNDS punches people get lambasted for nowadays. Not to mention the whole wordplay in itself is a pretty bad reach (ball with 2 O's n = balloon? No. I know for a fact you're better than this. You don't have to reach like this to get a point across). Everything else was relatively ok up to the closer, which I get the idea behind the whole blow his lungs to the stars/space to breathe bit, but the whole setup in itself kinda made the end punch a bit too obvious, imo, which took away from the punch impact.

All in all, I'm giving this to Phe. Felt he had less mistakes in his verse overall with a slightly higher amount of creativity in his verse, and that got him the W. I'm almost certain I'll get a PM from one of you saying I'm an asshole, but that's ok. I'm just here to help and give what I feel is accurate analysis to help people improve. Good luck, folks.

I felt like that both emcees's verses were pretty much at par with each other. However, I felt like Sal incporated better punclines in this battles which ultimately concludes my verse. Again, both emceees did great. Both emcees did good in this bettle but I lean slightly towards one for the reason I've stated. This was a good battle, fair vote.

Wordplay: Sneak Attack/sneak a tac

I normally do an explanation on both sides, but yo this battle is so fucking close. Like, it could go either way. Dope shit. I loved Salford's wordplay but I felt it didn't attack as hard as Phe's. That's my only reasoning, as I said it's so close it could go either way.

Mad probs to both but at the end of the day I have to make a decision.

Alright, this was a decent battle. I am leaning towards Salford. Here's why, both started off with played wp's but the over-all lines were executed well, i still enjoyed them to a degree. I think Salford edged it there, though. Phe's second line regarding vets, was kinda played, too often have i seen animal / vet lines, and this one wasn't worded that well. Vet's don't rule over animals, I see what you mean - just felt it wasn't worded well. Salford, I wouldn't of got that Balloons thing, without the expo, and it felt a little reachy to me, I did like the knock off true's part of this rhyme scheme, though. Phe's short end of the stick punch was okay, just thought the paint ya twig wording was hella weird. I liked both closers, but felt like Salford took a little while to get to the final punch. Clausterphobic / Too close didn't seem super creative to me. All in all, I think Salford was just a bit more consistent here. With a tad bit less played stuff. Fairs in yall!

Phe had some decent jabs but was missing some of the complete haymakers he had been throwing in some of his recent battles. Slaford was firing on all cylinders here. The dog shit line followed by the 4-bar set of straight and Space closer were the highlight of the battle for me. The multi's in the end made for an entertaining closer. However Phe’s Short end of the stick line is what stood up the most for him.. consistenty wins..
