this battle was dooope... had me rollin... i gotta lean one way cos of tha sophisticated punches and clever setups... rai had flow and personals but if he had some better concepts in places he'd have got tha vote... lock had tha harder punches imo, but could do with some fresher concepts too... fairs in... good luck to whoever wins... Babylon

Rai

Scheme Manipulability/Flow structure/Relatable wording: I feel like you did a good job in utalizing this scheme with some definite creative/out of the box ideas. You stuck to a fairly laymen structure with no crazy unique signature style edits or unique formatting & adhered to that same aspect in a few of the conceptual themes as well (thats next) but overall I think your best aspect here was coming with such a maleable vocabulary that made basically every multi work. I will say that towards the middle you kind of lost momentum in that aspect when you used the DIKEST HOS/LIVEST SHOW multis, I feel like DIKEST isnt really relatable to any form of average speech and referencing a stream as the LIVEST SHOW holds true to that as well a bit, but you followed that up with even more slick structure & extremely fluid scheming and I feel like ended your verse with more momentum than you picked up in the first half- good shit.

Conceptual incorporation/Punchline execution/Theme consistency: Conceptually I feel like you didnt do as well with until the ending half of your verse. The opening schemes were personally relatable (at least in the opening line) but then the set ups to the scientific theme you were constructing held little flips on speech or wordplay at all so it came off as some just basic referential wording loosely tied together with the first theme you thought of corresponding to the scheme given. I however really fucking liked the whole CONDENSATION ON A PINT OF COKE theme, i feel like even though conceptually it held true to that last critisism in the beginning with "take a swig of what he bottled up" being the supporting set-up it was SUPER fuckin fluid and honestly structured semi-flawlessly. After this I do feel like my first conceptual critisism held true though, I feel like if you put more complexity into the set ups of the punches at times it would have totally upgraded your momentum. I feel like that was your least impressive aspect here perhaps because you focused so well on structure & scheme consistency. I'm glad you ended on a punchline that kind of denotes that critique as well, I like the incorporation of "ghosted" with its double meaning in relation to conjuring something. THATS a tight punch

Lockhart

Scheme Manipulability/Flow structure/Relatable wording: Your conceptual structure was more direct in my opinion than with the rhyming, I don't feel like you really did as well when considering the fluid image rai weaved with his multis, but you sure as fuck set up your concepts in a heavy hitting manner instead. You definitely had some unique/creative ideas scheme-wise, HARBORED FREIGHT/MARTIAN SPACESHIPS being cool ways to take the scheme down a unique path. I think that your rhyming was a lot less direct in terms of trying to go for crazy fluidity & hitting patterns every bar but this was all but made up for in your conceptual momentum.

Conceptual incorporation/Punchline execution/Theme consistency:  I feel like your utilization of these wordplay/just flips on speech set ups is EXACTLY what i was trying to convey in relation to how rai shouldve set up a lot of his punches. I really fucked with the hold a mass/getting at em line. I feel like your use of setups that almost always had a double meaning really seperated your conceptual momentum in comparison to rais. Even more basic ones like stomp on this white girl was entertaining/light hearted enough to even still be hard as it fit perfectly with the scheme as well lol. A relevant flip on speech in the setup really makes a punch have that much more impact & it showed with your verse.

OVERALL: I think that Lockharts conceptual prowess compared to Rais elite structure proved to carry the creative impact necessary to push the tide over to his side for me. I think that even with my incredible bias towards such a fluid execution of rhyme scheming, creative content is everything- displaying that you might have the mental edge-up by incorporating so many flips on speech/consistently referential, thematic wordplay is just hard hitting and thats something i gotta learn to do better with as well. Good shit gentlemen.

Bape

This was a dope battle. The only issue was the flow and that's to be expected when your attempting a nine syllable scheme. I got my winner based on better/stronger setups and a tad less filler imo. Cheers for the mention tho lads lmao. Fairs in.

Fucking close boys.. both stuck with the scheme well and had some creative/ never heard of before multis which was cool. Winner had more personals and a better attacking angle imo

I've done a lot of battling outside of Letsbeef, and this was one of the most fire battles I've seen in like a year. Extremely hard to call, but I do have a winner. Eloquence and grace on both ends while handling a nine syllable multi. Bravo.

Lawwwd have Mercy. This was something special. Both drops were on point. Couldn't really find anything wrong with them. But I reread s couple times and feel my winner edged due to a few more stronger punches that were executed perfect but I can see this going either way. Y'all dope. Locks definitely been getting nicer. Love you FAM.

This is one of the nastiest joints I've seen in a while, so it deserves a good expo from me.

Rai: Doing a 16 line battle with a long scheme suits you well, since holding long schemes is your signature style at this point. You slanted a fair bit at some points, but since the scheme was 9 syllables it mostly wasn't obvious, and it read smootly which is the important thing. Your punches were decent. It reminds me of Skizzo, but without the super originality. And pulling off creative concepts is even harder in a 16 line scheme battle.

Lockhart: You weren't fucking around with this! The best aspect of this verse is the way that you connected punchlines in theme and topic while fluently maintaining your scheme. The opening punch sequence was fucking insane, with an idiom play on the pope leading to a double meaning play on mass that also tied into the previous punch, so really a triple meaning. You also had some multies that were creative in your own right; the SaDA HUSSEIN IN TIKRIT LYING LOW was great, I don't think I could have written that half as fluently. The biggest flaw in the verse is the obscure ending punch, which I caught because you explained it to me on Discord prior to the battle but still doesn't connect very well honestly.

I could probably point out flaws and shit but I don't feel motivated to do that, especially on a battle of this magnitude. I'm tossing out my very very rare 9 for the winner and a not-so-common 8 for my loser. Fair's in.

two very similar styles here. rai you went all out with the personals, which i felt became dull midway thru the verse. switch it up. lock you did what i wanted rai to do, i also enjoyed your creativity more. got my winner tho.

both had some smooth punches in here. When I judge a text. I literally rap it out loud and vote with whom i thought had the better verse... In this case i thought rai had a slightly more personal approach. I dont know the history between you two but it seemed rai wanted this win more. Sorry Lock, but i have to give it to Rai. GB guys

I felt one started off decent then really fell flat in the second half of his verse- nothing was hitting for me at all. &the other was more consistent from

start to finish and just stronger with his rhymes and overall punches. The fair is baked.

This was a fire battle.  I, generally,  won't give over a 7 to anyone,  no less both battlers. It was a razor thin decision to my winner based on complexity,  but only cause I had to pick 1 winner.

Jesus, this was hard to vote on.

RAI: I havent been around long enough to get all the personals, but as a fan of battling and diss tracks in general, i can appreciate some good personal attacks. Multis were nice, flow is nice, The scheme was really well laid out and played into.

LOCKHART: Some really nice quotables, multis easily matched Rai's, clever as fuck, some personals used also, excellent flow. I think its being held against you that the scheme you used took a longer than 2 bars to bring together, but I think its slick to watch a scheme develop as the verse goes on.

My vote woulda veen Lock, butttttt...just so both parties involved are aware, it was slicing it down to thin margins to come to that. I really want to say its a dead even tie, but this is battle rap and we dont end it ties. lol.
