One had a couple decent ideas but the flow isn't consistent and the punches need to be set up better. The other had better structure and started off alright. Had some played stuff toward the end but overall had enough punches to take this. Posted on: 2015-10-21 21:44:17 Private Message Esso

Ex: 1. The Amish do not use electricity. 2. "DT" stands for "detox tremors" which refers to the violent shaking that alcoholics suffer during withdrawal. 3. "Gas/Emission". 4. Crossbows shoot 'bolts'. Frankenstein had two bolts in his neck, one on either side. Comment Only

This took a couple reads to go through and it came down to this. The vote can't get more thorough. My loser: You had bars, I won't lie. I see some mad potential. Your biggest strength clearly isn't your wordplay nor metaphors, but you have consistency in the strength of your punches. A few light jabs here and there with some heavy hitters evenly spread through-out your verse. That, in and of itself, is a great foundation for setting up your personal battling style. That said, your punches fell short to your opponent's for lack of any substantial "flair". You came with raw aggression, and that has its place, but in a match-up like this, it wasn't the best move to make. In order to strengthen your odds to out-do your opponent, chalk in a little more refined wordplay, more precision in the execution of your metaphors, and don't be afraid of laying down more complicated multis or having subsets of rhymes between them. My winner: You came correct with the precise chemistry needed to out-shine your opponent here. Your opening bar was sick as Hell. The only glaring issue I have with it is that the first line doesn't really transition well into the second, which there is nothing wrong with, but if you can open with a scheme and stick to it for 2 bars before a transition into the next idea, that would be sick. The next few lines had multis that out-did your opponent's selection of rhymes with more properly executed metaphors and had a sick closing bar that hammered a flurry of sub-rhymes between the respective multis to decorate your punch with a heavy-hitting bar. That's the haymaker that decided this battle for me. Both emcees have clearly contrasted from one another in their different stylings. Conveniently enough, they both had only 1 solid use of wordplay. Fittingly enough, my winner's use of that talent out-did my loser's. Though, unfortunately, both of them also lacked a sort of 'structure' I like to see in text battles around here. Keep grinding, the fair's in. Voted: Dessaline / Sykotiqs

Dtdabeast: You had some nice concepts in your bars though you didn't connect with them, nor extend or execute them to their potential. If you work on that (connection and execution) you'll be a level above you're current. Sykotix: You're set ups to punches are nice an creative. You had one or two moments where they could have been executed better. Keep on the road you're on, you'll improve your skill set soon. Your opening was probably the best in this battle. Fairs in, i'm out. Voted: Dessaline / Sykotiqs
